Man, I don’t know where to start. I see these great reviews on here and makes me think I’m crazy. Loved how clean and modern the restaurant was and how nice and attentive the staff was. Unfortunately, the food was as close to awful as you can get. I had the Bistec enpanizado and it was really over cooked, not to mention there was barely any steak inside. The beef was just about as thick as a slice of ham. It was all breading. My two sides were moró and Fufu de plátano. The moro was full of “raspa” and I don’t typically mind some raspa but nearly the entire rice was raspa and tasted stale and old as if, it were from the previous day. The fufu de plátano was probably the best thing I had. It was very good and flavorful.

Feedback from others I was with: the arroz con pollo was very greasy and had a unique taste that made it taste odd. (I tried it). The chicken was dry and lacked flavor.

The pork just didn’t taste fresh. But didn’t taste terrible. The rice was the same (burnt/dry) full of raspa. The tostones tasted like frozen tostones.

The vaca frita was the most acceptable of all the dishes. The black beans and white rice were also not bad.

I gave it two stars for the environment and the kindness of the staff. But I unfortunately won’t be coming back...

Came to this place tonight (Friday) there were two tables when we arrived. We placed our order and two other tables came in , ordered after us. We ordered a tallarin verde, tallarin huancaina and a tiradito (cold dish). Our tallarines came out before the tiradito, and the other parties of 11 people total got their food and the tiradito still hadnt arrived. We asked three times for the dish, i let my son eat his meal and i picked at mine while i tried to wait for my husband to get his food. Finally we decided to cancel the dish and speak to a manager, the server said there was no manager that it was the chef and he was busy (also that he didnt speak english). He refused to come out to speak to us. We tell the server to fix the check for the displeasure and poor service. He goes to a gentleman who was sitting having dinner with a lady right on the other side of the booths to revise the check (which they added gratuity to). When we asked if that was the manager the server said no, “hes like my boss but not the manager” . As we are leaving the gentleman “that was like a boss but not the manager” sarcastically says thank you. Will never be...

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My mother highly reccomended this place and brought home a paper menu. I decided to give them a try so I ordered a ropa vieja and a cup of crema de malanga. When they told me my total, I noticed I was being charged an extra $2, so I questioned why. I was told that take out prices were different. I claimed that I was going by the menu prices and the owner told me that I would have to pay extra because I was getting more soup in the take out container. We went back and forth and the owner even asked why I had assumed that the PAPER menu was a take out menu. Aren't all take out menus paper? I felt fooled and disrespected that they weren't adherehing to the prices on the menu. No wonder why the place was EMPTY. That is not how you run a NEW business. You have lost a potential customer that could have recommended you with many people. I clearly don't see this business lasting very long. You lack respect and customer service. That is not how you treat a customer. SHAME ON YOU! You got lucky that I still paid for the food, I should have just left...

My husband and I arrived at the place , supporting our local restaurants, to have the lunch special the are advertising internally at the restaurant menu and on the Pembroke Pines Savings flyer’s going in the area. Price for lunch special $11.99 from 11am to 4pm. The problem is when you get the bill to pay, price are DIFFERENT, they charged me $18, they “inadvertently “ don’t share with the customer they decided to change some prices and they don’t have “yet” the new menu in hand. Waitress Ashley should let us know knowing we were ordering lunch special item from their actual menu. They never made the correction on our bill, nor apologized no nothing. :( I won’t go back

Overall good dinner. The service was kind, timely, and professional. The food was comforting and flavorful. A nice homecooked meal, and not as greasy as other cuban restaurants I have been to. My Pollo a la plancha was a little overcooked, and the flavor a bit tart. Also the mariquitas were stale, and the sauce did not help. Will be back for their daily specials, their fricasse de pollo was really good! Edit: there simple breakfast options are great! Cafecito was a little sweet, but the tres golpes was great! The plantain was not salty alllwing for the cheese, meat, and egg to really shine.
