We drove an hour to eat here last month because the pizza is great. I even called 20 mins before we got there to make sure they were open. Showed up 1:30ish, no one in the place. They waited until after they greeted us, sat us, and gave us menus...to tell us we couldn't order pizza. What? And, why? Oh, the one guy that knew how to make it was sitting in the corner watching the end of the Clemson game. Seriously. The server then tells us we could order slices, so we tried to do that, THEN she tells us that actually there was only 2 plain slices left. It was like they all had no idea how to communicate or operate a business. We ended up with the 2 cheese slices and 1 pepperoni no one really wanted... only because we were starving. The cook sat 5 feet away the whole time, focused on the game. Heard us say we drove an hour, did/said nothing. The owner tried to be apologetic but didn't actually do anything at all to make it better. Maybe put a "Back in 15" sign on your door if you are empty and can't make food temporarily? Maybe tell people as they COME IN that they can't order pizza in your pizza place? Why can't the owner make his own pizza? Why not make a pie or 2 before you HAVE to watch the game, so you at least have enough slices? Its just so strange. No wonder we were the only 2 in there at lunch time on a weekend. Sad, but...
Read moreWe did enjoy eating here for some time now, the past year or so, but they went and set up online ordering and somehow did not get our order. And even seemed to have a ticket in hand when we went to pick up, just "couldn't accept orders from Doordash." Weird...if you can't provide this service or dont have it entirely set up, it should not be an option to go through like that especially when it went even as far as being charged for the food that we could not get. So now we are forced to call Doordash to get our money back and deal with an angry toddler who has3 just wanted his favorite all day, pizza, for dinner and we have to scrounge for a semi decent thrown together something at home because at the end of the week, we are out of planned meals to cook up, hence why we needed the pizza tonight. I just wish there was a good pizza place SOMEWHERE in the entire Upstate because for one reason or another, the ONLY pizza place we know of after this experience that always has amazing food, service, and convenient ordering services is Belladina's all the way in Greenville. So upstate, you'll have to travel to Greenville to ever find a consistently good pizza place that knows how to operate its systems, and yes I know thats quite inconvenient, but otherwise that's all we have around here now...
Read moreWe ate here because a couple of other restaurants in the square were closed. So they were understandably busy, we expected to wait a bit for our food. They had a couple of tables reserved (they weren't used for the duration of our visit). We were sat at the end of a 10 top high top table with some others on the other end who were finishing up. We sat for a bit and had to get our own menu because no one checked on us. They took about 3 tables orders who came in after us. While we were waiting for our food they took a reservation for 9 people at the table we were sitting at. The reservation got there just as we were getting our food. They were trying to figure out the seating situation as there were not enough chairs. Since there was 9 of them, one person didn't have a seat and had to stand and hovered near us which made us feel rushed after waiting on our food close to an hour. We would have gladly moved, however the only other open tables had reservation signs and an alternative solution wasn't offered. We don't blame the nice young waitress but the management. Why would you hold tables like that in such a small space? No one from the management team ever addressed us but their actions made us feel unwanted. The pizza was decent but a...
