Bluebird presents a modern yet cozy hometown dining experience. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly during my visit for breakfast, all wearing a smile and saying hello. They provide a good size menu of delicious food all at an excellent price.
All of the menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are EXTREMELY affordable which is a welcome sight during these times. I had ordered the Eggs Benedict (which I highly recommend) and my friend had ordered the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits and both of us had nothing but good things to say about the food. Both dishes were very well portioned with enough food on the plate to leave you feeling satisfied without producing any food waste. You may have to season to taste with salt and pepper but I don't think that's a bad thing. The coffee is decent and easy to drink without cream or sugar.
For two men in their late 20's our bill came to just over $26. In addition to their regular menu items they also have a case filled with desserts and other baked goods that look delectable. All in all I would recommend Bluebird Diner to anyone who is looking to have a high quality meal in a friendly atmosphere without...
Read moreA beautifully remodeled building gives you that "remember the good old days" feeling from the moment you enter the adequately sized, well maintained parking lot. A wheelchair accessible ramp leads you to the door where inside the interior remodel welcomes you with soft hues and beautifully upholstered booths. We visited the establishment for breakfast, and I debated heavily between the creamed chipped beef on toast and the corned beef hash and eggs, finally settling on the latter; and I am very glad I did! It was probably the best corned beef hash I've ever eaten in my life! It was delicious! It was cooked perfectly with plenty of the crispy bits I love! The dippy eggs were cooked perfectly! A generous portion of home fries and a side of buttered toast presented with grape jelly packets completed the meal, which was delivered to us by a very pleasant and attentive waitress. This was our first visit, and it will surely not be the last as this will top our list of places to go the next time we visit family...
Read moreThere were three of us. We arrived at 9:05p and they close at 10p. We ordered a fried flounder dinner and a broiled scallops dinner and then a Southwest burger platter. We were offered soup or salad and we got the cup of soup. We also got 3 sodas. We were well into our meals and I noticed that we had no side dishes at all. He had a plate of flounder with a garnish of lemon and I had a bowl of scallops with a cup of butter in the center and that was all we were served. I asked the waiter if we were supposed to be getting sides and he said no. I asked the host for a menu and proceeded to show them where it said it included fries or baked potato after 4p and 2 sides. I said I didn't want to pay full price for the two platters. I said I thought $5 off each was fair. ( They are both over $20+) He said no. He offered $3 and I said I would take five off he said ok and then I still added another ten in tip. He threw in cake at the end but I don't think I should have to pay a full $25 for half the food....
