I’m local to this restaurant and finally had the chance to try them tonight. My husband and I arrived around 8pm for a late dinner. The place was pretty empty since it was an hour before closing, but that had no impact on the fresh, delicious food! We enjoyed the complimentary basket of tortilla chips topped with refried beans and queso fresco to start. The topping was flavorful and the chips were fresh and salted perfectly. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese dip and more chips. The cheese dip came out piping hot! It did lack a little bit of flavor in my opinion, but when you add a bit of the spicy chipotle sauce they offer on the table, it really enhanced the flavor and gave it a little bit of a kick. For dinner, I got the pastor quesadilla with a side of the Chipotle Mayo. The quesadilla was very filling and the pork was flavorful. The Chipotle mayo sauce is delicious!! My husband ordered the Spanish paella and really liked it. The plate that his entree arrived on was almost as wide as the table. The portion was huge!! They definitely didn’t skimp on the meats either. He normally is able to finish all meals, but this one he couldn’t. That says a lot about the portion size! The employees are friendly and took care of us promptly. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was that they charge $1 to order a water with your meal. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal and will return again soon to try...
Read moreAmazing experience. If you want a truly authentic and tasty Mexican experience, eat here. To some, at first glance you may not see it when you drive by, but once inside and you sit down, you won’t be disappointed.
They offer a large menu of different Mexican dishes. Some of my favorites are the enchiladas, nachos, huaraches, and fajitas. My wife and son are a huge fan of the horchata, which might be the best horchata we’ve had in South Jersey.
The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a getaway for lunch. With cute uplifting wall art and some Bible verses on the wall, you can really relax.
The enchiladas with the green sauce might be the best sauce I’ve had ever at a Mexican spot. It had a great balance of sweet and spicy that leaned more sweet and paired well with the steak.
My wife had the fajita platter that came with shrink, chicken, and steak. Both of us couldn’t finish and had to take extra home.
The dessert hit the spot too. A meal isn’t complete without a sweet something to seal the deal. Churros with strawberries inside? Yes! With a scoop of ice cream to go with it? Yes!
Price wise, they are a little more than your usual Mexican spot, but you pay for what you get. The food is amazing, in another league, and the portions are large so you aren’t getting tiny platters.
Can’t wait to come back and get the...
Read moreThe girls at the front counter were very nice and helpful with my decision on what to eat for my take out order. If I would have known how nice it was inside, I would have eaten in but I had things to do. Anyway, the Mexican motif is very tastefully done and the dining room is spacious. You could never feel crowded in there. The atmosphere is nice as the actual cooking is done out of sight behind a partition. I for one don’t like to think that I’m sitting just outside of the kitchen. The burrito platter that I got was very tasty and fresh with fresh green lime salsa and guacamole and a tube of sour cream in case you fancy it. I don’t. It also comes with a little corner of salad which was very good with shredded cheese on top and other corner had some red Spanish rice that melted in my mouth. All in all the $16 platter couldn’t be finished in one sitting so I’ll have the rest later or tomorrow. I was surprised to find out from one of the girls that they have been there roughly two years??? How did I never notice before? It was only on a trip to the ill fated Belly Busters that I noticed them across the street. Mucho Loco doesn’t disappoint at all … they just think that doing things the right way is “very crazy”,I guess…lol..it’s the simplest things done well that always succeed, not doing a million things below average. That’s not so very...
