Eat'n Park — Restaurant in Pennsylvania

There was 5 of us and we placed our order with the waitress. At this time nobody had silverware. The 1st person order a appetizer and a meal, 2nd person ordered fries with a side of gravy, 3rd person ordered a basket of fries with cheese and bacon, 4th ordered just a steak and cheese sandwich and the 5th person ordered a bacon burger with sauce supreme and shredded lettuce with fries and a cup of potato soup. The 1st person's appetizer came out but the 5th person didn't get their soup and the 3rd person didn't get her salad. After about 5 minutes or so we asked about the soup and salad and we were told in a snippy voice"she ordered a appetizer " 5 minutes later the soup and salad came out. The potato soup tasted burnt. Person #5 ate it because she was hungry and didn't see her waitress. We still didn't have any silverware yet. The waitress finally brought silverware for 4 not 5. Our food finally came out and person #5 still didn't have any silverware. Person #5 asked for silverware and the waitress said "I brought silverware out. " person #5 "said they didn't get any " then the waitress said in a snippy voice again "I must have miscounted " person #2 didn't have her gravy she wanted on the side and person #5 didn't get the items she asked for on her sandwich. At this time we were told by another waitress she would be taking over our table. Our waitress didn't leave because she had 4 other tables with people in that she was taking care of. My family and I went for dinner tonight. The service was terrible. It took 15 minutes for our server to even greet us, and then after that she disappeared for another 20 mins. She didn't pre-bus our table at all (which would had been fine if we didn't have so many salad bar plates), wouldn't refill our drinks, and didn't get us napkins when we had asked multiple times (I had to get up and walk around the resteraunt looking for them myself). Then, one member in our family's food came out wrong- sent it back and it came out wrong again. Server said she couldn't replace it with another meal and didn't even discount the replacement meal. I work in the service industry myself and I understand staffing shortages, dinner rushes, etc however, there's no excuse for the service we received. The place was no where near packed. Also, Every time we were even looking for her (our server), she'd run the other way. Like went out of her way to ignore us. The other turn off is she was trash talking one table who walked out due to poor service to another table. How unprofessional. I bring my mother here every Sunday for the potato soup, it’s her favorite!

Unfortunately this last visit wasn’t a good experience. Our service was excellent and the food was delicious. However, while enjoying our food I was accompanied by a waitress’s disgusting words about her coworkers. I regret not asking for her name but I caught a glimpse at her name tag and it was either Veronica or Victoria. Anyways, she was bragging to others about getting another coworker fired recently and how she should have taken matters into her own hands. (I won’t repeat the exact words, but a part of it was “I should have beat her *”)

I was absolutely appalled. No one should be spoken about in that manner and yet, a very young employee was openly saying this out loud for customers to hear! Luckily I overheard other employees talking about how unprofessional this employee is but what really irked me is when they said management knew about this woman’s behavior.
