On 9/14/2023, I ordered the SUNRISE SPINACH Scrambler with Grits, a biscuit instead of English muffin & a cup of coffee.
I asked the waitress, Meeka, to please have them cook the eggs 'soft scrambled.' She seemed confused by this request, but I assume that she had written "soft scrambled" on my order. The dish arrived at my table with the eggs super dry, and even burnt in some spots! No where close to being soft-scrambled! I should have sent them back immediately, but I was so hungry I choked half of them down and brought the leftovers to my son who took one look at them and said "no thanks."
I love biscuits, but took one bite out of the biscuit, and spit it back out! I have no idea what they made the "yellow" biscuit from, however, it tasted AWFUL! In fact, it's the WORST tasting biscuit I've ever eaten...and I'm 64 years old, so I've eaten quite a few biscuits in my day! The biscuit at the Nine Mile location, though underwhelming, tasted much better than the inedible one I was served at the original Pensacola location, today.
When I pay $19.33 +tip (for ONE person) for scrambled eggs, what amounts to 1 strip of bacon (if that much), a lil spinach and tiny amount of cheese, I expect it to be edible...at the very least!!!
This is the SECOND bad experience I've had at Another Broken Egg in less than a month! The last experience, at the new location on Nine Mile, missed the mark as well. There, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the biscuit was made with WHITE flour and tasted good, the bacon was overcooked, and the cheese grits had the appearance of concrete, for lack of a better word. I took one bite of the grits and determined that they were totally inedible! My husband was with me on that visit, and our check came to almost FIFTY Dollars +tip! If Another Broken Egg is going to charge THAT MUCH Money, you better be serving the BEST damn breakfast in all of Pensacola...but YOU'RE NOT!!!
In fact, while writing this review, I'm becoming very upset, again, thinking about my two most recent visits, here!
With the poorly cooked and executed meals I've eaten there recently, coupled with the exorbitant costs of those meals I CANNOT, in good conscience, recommend eating at Another Broken Egg and will NOT...

I had a side of poached eggs to put on top. Oh and their bacon is the best… think and cooked just right. I can’t wait for the new location on 9-mile to open!
11-5-22: Me and the Mrs out for breakfast. Wanted to try the blacken Benedict but missing my shrimp & grits. Mrs got pumpkin waffle eggs and sausage (I need to order that sausage next time; she gave me a bite and 🤩.
7-3-2022: over due for the best shrimp & grits in the area. Told me wife I am so glad they have remained consistent with portions, price, and taste! Shrimp & grits was a always, excellent (also a side of bacon which is always just right) My wife got the Lemon—Custard French toast which had strawberries, shaved almonds, and powdered sugar. She said I had to taste it… holy cow 😮 and excellent- If I wasn’t diabetic … I’d eat two of these🤤. She also got a side of scrabble eggs and sausage. Eggs beautiful and we had never tried the sausage before. It was unique in that it appeared to be in-house made with a special blend of seasoning. I’m not sure but good nonetheless.
11-20-2021 9:00am very busy and only two parking spaces open. Put my name if for the counter- they will text you when ready. In about 10-15min counter opening was available - to my surprise a lady walked in and sat down without checking with the hostess. A waitress not working the counter, told her it was okay. Not right, and the person working the counter I believe straighten it out. Anyway, rude lady stayed seated. Have not been here in a few months and decided to try the Lobster & Brie omelette. Wow! Remarkable and something I could eat no stop. Ordered mine with potatoes and English muffin. Side of excellent bacon as well. When someone ask how I like my bacon cooked; this is spot on; the standard all other bacon is judge by! Iced hazelnut coffee was perfect too. No bad comments other than the rude customer. 4-16-2022: Easter weekend and just had to have the Shrimp & Grits (city style) and my wife had the Lobster omelette. Still great door and great service! P.S. use the app to...
Read moreI will be writing a review in full later on tonight. Long story short, this restaurant will not at all address any customer service/missing items issues. It’s been seven days in multiple channels of asking for someone to contact me and no one will. April 28 is when I was there. I was told that all the seasonal favorites could not be ordered. Yet they were prominently feature online AND on the menus in the restaurant. No big deal, I ordered something else. It did not come with enough syrup to eat one pancake let some three. The real problem was the biscuits and gravy that came sans sausage gravy. Just a biscuit. An expensive fry biscuit missing a key component. When I went back to the restaurant and told the lady that took my order she went to the back to get the manager. 5 minutes later she returned and said “my manager said she was too busy, but give me a copy of your receipt and she will refund your whole meal.” I told the lady I didn’t want the whole meal refunded, just something for the gravy. Well, I was never reimbursed ANYTHING. The total order came out to $65 and it has been almost two weeks. Two weeks this Friday morning and no one has reached out to me. I left a message on Facebook messenger, Twitter, the online form, I’ve called the restaurant and not able to reach anyone, and Google and yelp reviews and still NOT A WORD FROM ANYONE. This is clearly a management issue and the fact that no one cares to have my business really upsets me. I have had breakfast there four times now and probably have spent well over $200 on breakfast. But I won’t go back ever again. I’ll be trying other restaurants and I won’t visit this place anymore....
