I love this place, is it perfect? No, is it elegant? No but it IS fun, cozy, and excepting of ALL types of genders and identifications. I visit here on average of 2 nights a week fully dressed (CD) and have never felt out of place, disrespected or not welcome. What I love is everyone seems to respect everyone weather they are their “type” or not. The drag shows are amazing for a small town place and draw a pretty good crowd. Best $5 of entertainment in Pensacola! Monthly theme nights are a blast! See picture and the second Saturday’s are Leather and Denim night followed by the Live DJ night, rarely miss. The drink prices are standard and 90% of the time- made right and strong, the way they should be. Bar staff “bust their Azz” to keep up with the crowd. The Operations crew are effective and tireless to get the job done. Not to mention funny and accommodating. The outside deck is cozy and intimate lighted. Bottom line is everyone from the Bear masculine to the Crossdressed Fem will enjoy what I call my home away from home. If only they played more 80s and 90s music. The viewed average crowd age would match it. Take one of those unused Saturdays a month (last one for example) and make it a “Retro night” 80s etc. I’m betting when the word got out it would be a...
Read moreThe RoundUp is best gay bar by far in Pensacola. There is always a good crowd and interesting people to meet. There is an awesome patio and a back bar, pool tables and an outside area. The main bar is confortable with a lot of places to sit and music videos playing in HD screens throughout the place. The Roundup is not a dance bar but there is an open area that is used occasionally for some who wish to shake it. There are also weekly events e.g. Karaoke night, country night etc. I wish there was more Leather events and a weekly leather night although it is the only place in town you find people wearing leather and uniforms. The RoundUp appeals more for a gay male clientele, as it should. Women are always welcome and are more prominent in special events such Karaoke night. At any given night if you spent enough time there you may get a close up glimpse of a passing by train! The RoundUp is truly a...
Read moreIt's considered to be a Levi/leather bar- with drag shows a few nights a week. The crowd is a good mix of locals and those on vacay. The friendly bartenders serve really good drinks and frosty beers at a reasonable price, and the folks who stop by for a cold one make for a very fun crowd. However, there is no food prepared on-site. They don't mind if you bring in food from outside. They just don't prepare and sell food there. It's an establishment that is welcoming to all who enter, as long as those who enter are there to have a fun time. It's a safe place where men and women can go and not have to worry about being judged. Just one request before entering- please leave your fears, your drama, your hate, and your prejudices outside- and let...
