I am from New Orleans so I am pretty picky about my cajun food. I had the unique experience of trying LITERALLY EVERYTHING ON THE MENU! I photographed the menu for Grub Hub and was sent home with ALL OF IT! Needless to say, it was way more food than I expected when we made the deal. Even with my whole family invited over, we had leftovers for days. Some standouts were the peel and eat shrimp (perfectly seasoned), all of the gumbos and red beans and rice were great, the fried seafood was perfect and the etouffee was really good too! All of the blackened and grilled fish were also really flavorful as well. For deserts, the Key lime pie was our favorite! My only "negative" review, would be for the roast beef poboy bc I am used to the New Orleans style debris, cooked in it's own gravy so this was not my favorite. This restaurant is a definite must try!

I cannot say enough great things about this place, first the place was like coming home, the staff greets you with smiles and attend to you right away. Then the waitress, Ashley, what a sweet lady!!! She was completely knowledgable about everything on the menu from the appetizers to the dessert, everything she suggested was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was hot and beautifully set. From beginning to end this food was flavorful, appealing, comforting and amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere, environment, people and food more than any place I visited in NOLA. I have to say this is as authentic as you can get! Go to Broussards, I promise you, you will leave with a full belly and a happy heart. My compliments to the chef and Ashley our waitress. Best place ever! Cant wait to go back.

Had dinner here Saturday night and was thoroughly impressed! Ashley was super helpful with the menu and quick with service. It was seat yourself so we sat in the courtyard patio area! We had the boudin balls (not pictured) and four pounds of crawfish, and a “sloppy Broussard” po-boy! All of it phenomenal! I was pleased to hear the crawfish were boiled to order & the boudin was spicy & delicious! & I could not believe the size of the po-boy! You’re definitely getting your moneys worth! It was unfortunate that this establishment wasn’t busier on a Saturday night because they have such an awesome thing going! I never have seen it advertised really but heard about it through friends! I hope to see this place pick up but I will be back for more in the meantime!

UPDATE: MY SON HEARD FROM THE MANAGER AND THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE! I AM HAPPY THAT THEY LISTENED AND WERE CONCERNED WITH WHAT HE HAD TO SAY!

My son got married on June 16th. Broussard's catered the meal for my son's reception! Besides the meal, we ordered appetizers to be served between the wedding and reception time while my son and his bride were having pictures taken! After the wedding I was standing out in the area where appetizers and lunch would be served. I noticed the lunch food was already in the warmers, but there were no appetizers. I went up to the caterer to ask about appetizers and was told the oil was heating up slowly. The caterer pulled into venue at the same time we did. Plus wedding started 30 minutes late so it seemed like adequate time to heat oil up. Appetizers didn't come out for over an hour late. When they finally came out nobody was up at table to serve the guest so we ran out of appetizers. Shrimp had to be brought out before lunchtime so guest wouldn't notice the appetizers running out. Also my son payed a cleanup fee and the caterer left before dishes were all removed from tables. We ended yoo cleaning the remainder of the mess up. My son called today to speak to manager. Hopefully they will return his call. The food was really good, but it was very stressful as the mother of the groom having to feel like I needed to apologize to hungry guest about delayed appetizers. If it wasn't for those issue's, I would have given a higher rating! My mother in law used to own a restaurant and she said that there was ample time to have heated yup the oil in fryer. As a parent you always want your children's wedding day tho run smoothly and that wasn't smooth with...

I appreciate the response below from the owner and will revise my review, although, we were disappointed, I think I am most disappointed because I have told multiple people how good this place is. From beginning to end our experience was not good. They did not have the cider that was on the "Revised" beer menu, nor did they have a cider to replace it, the excuse was a "problem with our distributor". (This cost the server at least 4 beers from being ordered because I didn't order a beer since you didn't have a cider for my wife) We ordered boudin spring rolls and 3 lbs of crawfish, which seemed pretty pricey but that's what we wanted, so we were willing to pay the premium, unfortunately, 1/3 of our 3 lbs were straight tails (meaning they were dead before they were cooked), if you are going to charge a premium for your crawfish, then you should remove most of the straight tails. Also, we do not believe that our crawfish were cooked the same day they were ordered, they were tough, not warm, and had no juice or spice. On top of that, our server forgot to put in the order for the spring rolls, when she delivered the crawfish, she told us the spring rolls would come right out, but 15 minutes later she came to check on us and asked us if we wanted the spring rolls because she wasn't sure (obviously she forgot to put them in and tried to play it off). I hope my review is helpful because I think this is a great concept, with a unique menu, especially the build your own grit bowl, but the poor service, and bad crawfish is really going to make it difficult for me to want...

We stopped here for lunch. Had picked it because of the good ratings it recieved and because we hadn't had good cajun since our last trip to NO. We did not find good cajun here though.

My husband ordered a muffuletta and a cup of crawfish & corn bisque. The soup came after everything else and he said it was bland. The muffuletta was the skimpiest muffuletta. It was all bread with little filling. The olive salad on it had a somewhat nice flavor, but was hardly on the sandwich. The only part of his lunch he really enjoyed was the jalapeno cornbread.

I had the Grits-A-Gumbo. I did like the crawfish sauce that was on it. The shrimp & oysters were good too. The grits however were unbelievably bland, and they were lukewarm. Even mixed with the sauce they were lacking flavor. I basically ate the top of the dish as that was the part with the flavor.

The service was lack-luster. They were not slammed as there were several tables open. It took a while to get our order taken and longer to get our food. People that came in after us and ordered after us got their food well before us. However, the server was pleasant.

Our experience might be uncommon for this place, but it was a highly...
