Upon walking in the hostess was very nice and helpful. What will stain my memory most of this was the treatment my family of 9 and myself received from our server Ashley K. Half of us were in town visiting for the holiday. I sat down alone at 1st as the rest of my family had not yet made it to the restaurant. Ashley completely ignored me as I sat there dying of thirst for about 10 minutes. My brother in law came in at which point she said, "Be with you in a minute." To which another 10 minutes goes by and my entire family is seated. Her energy from the start was off and as she took my grandmother's order for a salad, seemingly having an issue with the request of olive oil for dressing. All for which was brought out anyway. My lemonade was gone within 5 minutes of it being sat down and I had to wait another 10 minutes to have the tea drinkers of the table, who were barely halfway through theirs, served before me. By the time our food got to us most was room temperature or my sisters who had pasta which was cold. Ashley K. acted as though serving us was an issue and didn't have a smile, attentiveness to our party of 10, nor pep in her voice until my mom footed the entire bill and tipped(for which Ashley K. made sure my mom knew where to click). The taste of the food was delicious despite the cold temperatures. Not vegan friendly if that's your thing as my mom had creamed spinach and broccoli for which she said was steamed nicely. Ashley K. was a bad vibe all around and tanked the experience for me. Idk if it's that my beautiful family comes in all hues or she was just "off" for our party(as other parties were waited on promptly around us)but the holiday experience was ruined for the 8 adults at the table. Ashley K.'s energy on this particular occasion, should never be...

I'm not one to tell bad restaurant experiences often, but December 15th was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in years. The wait was okay, it was busy and completely understandable. No tables were available and no one was available to clean the dirty ones of which there were many. The hostess did as well as could be done and I appreciate her trying to get a table clean.
Once we ordered, it was over an hour before our food came. Our waiter explained there was a large party in another room that had the kitchen backed up. He seemed overwhelmed and probably was and I certainly wasn't going to add to what looked like a bad night. I ordered a filet, au gratin potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was all cold--very cold. Like almost refrigerated cold. We had to ask for silverware and finally got some, but no steak knife for the filet. I asked for one and the waiter said, we don't have any, there's probably 20 filets in the other room and we are out. He turned and walked off, no apology, no solution, no "we will clean one for you ", nothing. I had a butter knife, which obviously would not work, I tried. I ended up using my pocket knife and that's when I bit into a cold steak--all of this within a couple of minutes of when it was brought to our table.
Needless to say, we won't be back and completely unacceptable. Worst experience in at least 10 years and we eat out a lot. There were other things, but I am tired of writing. Restaurant NOLA...
Read moreWe showed up around 7:30 tonight and sat in the front waiting to be greeted for well over 5 minutes. Multiple servers walked by and didn't even acknowledge our presence. When the host finally appeared, before he even said anything to us, the phone rang and he answered the phone and walked away. A few minutes later he came back, got our name, then told me it would be 45 minutes for a table. As we were debating whether or not to stay, a server came up and told him it would be 15 minutes. So no one knows what's going on apparently. When we got to the table, we were there for probably 10 minutes before a server ever came over. She did eventually and took a drink order. The drink station was maybe 20 feet from us and it took her 7 minutes to get all the drinks to us. In the process of that, my son spilled his drink. We were trying to clean it up with the linens from the silverware and my sister just went to the bar to get napkins. The server came over, saw the spill, and walked away. I had to get her attention and ask for something to clean the spill with. After she brought us a towel, I had to tell her my son also needed a new drink. My starter took a sip of her tea and it was sour and then she noticed little things literally floating in it. So she asked for a different drink. Then, instead of our server coming back, a different server came over and said she'd be taking over our table. At that point, we decided that was enough red flags and we just left. We were inside the restaurant for a total of 45 minutes, only 15 of those minutes were technically waiting for a table.
This was my first visit to restaurant Nola and it will 100%...
