I've never been compelled to leave a review on Google, but my experience at this goodcents just a few minutes ago really rubbed me the wrong way. There has been two incidents now in which one of their employees, a large fellow with long hair tied in a braid and wears glasses, has been unnecessarily rude to me. Last time I didn't bother saying anything and just let it slide. Tonight, though, I couldn't let it slide. First, there's literally 5 employees working and not a single one greets me or even acknowledged that I walked in- I stood there for about 45 seconds before finally being asked what I wanted to order. As I was speaking to a different employee about which toppings i wanted on the sandwich, I briefly motioned my hand above the glass divider. I'm not sure if my hand actually crossed over the divider or not but if it did I obviously wasn't doing the motion with the intent to purposely cross over the divider.... Well this male employee felt the need to interrupt me talking to the other employee to very loudly tell me "PLEASE DON'T PUT YOUR HANDS OVER THE DIVIDER." I just stared at him for a moment, thinking did this guy really just chastise me as though I'm some little 5 year old? I honestly was just stunned. I then told him that that wasn't necessary, and he just looks at me, so I proceed to tell him "that wasn't necessary to speak to me like that and it was very rude, clearly I didn't intentionally put my hand over the divider and I don't need you speaking to me as though I did." He then looks around at the other employees acting bewildered and then apologizes. Bottom line, any sane person could have seen it was an innocent and subconscious hand gesture while talking, so to talk to a customer like that is just absurd. If I lean over the divider and cough or sneeze, then feel free to tell me I need to back off. But when I barely wave my hand over the top as I'm saying "oh no vinegar and oil though please" do not think you're going to speak to me like that and think it's ok. This guy needs to freshen up on his customer service skills, because last time I checked scolding your customers over a nonverbal hand gesture isn't in the criteria of professional...
Read moreIf I was just rating taste this would be 5 stars! The food was delicious! The sandwich was heavenly! The bread was so light and airy yet substantial enough to hold together my turkey sub perfectly to the last bite!!! The meat is sliced to order which I thought was fabulous... until I saw the slicer and the person using it! First Red Flag And the place was a mess everywhere!!!! Second Red Flag But I was hungry so I decided to let my guard down...and so glad I did!!! Because the taste was worth the risk... once!!!!
And add the fact that customer service was horrible. The tension in the air was so apparent, like the employees were all mad at each other and trying not to show it. Every question they ask me during our transaction was one word!!! ie: Bread? Toppings? Here?
So would I go again.... No!
Do I regret going...NO!
Do I wish with my whole heart that they would clean the place up and serve those tasty, delicious and pillowy delights with a smile for the customers... YES...
Read moreThe guy with the red hair, beard, and black shirt... that's supposedly a manager, and runs the slicer... Was absolutely the rudest person I've asked service from in a long time. I came in Saturday and asked for a platter, he immediately said NO we need 24 hours notice... I said oh ok I didn't know that it doesn't say that or on the sign or anything I apologize, can I just get 5 subs then. And he scoffed, threw a tantrum, and gave me attitude for choosing to pay more and order what I needed... IT WAS SO UNNECESSARY... He slung attitude as I was telling the next person what toppings I wanted, he wanted to make it known and put his frustration on me. I WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE... I'm a manager of a team that interacts with public. He had a chance to make a customer or break one. I've been coming there for a long time. I WILL NEVER RETURN because I don't want to give my money to pay for his employment. I paid $95 for 5 subs, and I'll never return....
