Starbucks — Restaurant in Peoria

I love Starbucks! This location is the most convenient for me but unfortunately, it's a rare treat for me. Partly because if I don't allow a good 30 minutes to wait in the drive through, I will inevitably be late to where I am headed, usually my job. This location needs to step up their drive through game, seriously. If there isn't a long wait to reach the window, I will say, a good 85% of the time, my order is wrong or their is an issue with the change I receive. It is apparently the norm for the barista to offer your drink at no charge if you have waited an unreasonable amount of time & that is nice, however, it's the time lost that can't be replaced & that's what keeps me from visiting here regularly. Today I was on lunch & there wasn't much of a wait at all so I proceeded to order. When I reached the window, the young man took my cash & attempted to give me back more than $2 more than I was due. I told him so & he went back to the computer to figure out the error. He still tried giving me more than I was owed so I took what was supposed to be my change & handed him the rest. He gave me my drink & I continued on. I was literally at the window for 10 minutes while he tried to figure out what to do. I am very patient with people & try not to fuss, but this is getting to be ridiculous. Most of my co-workers who indulge here also have the same type...

Ordered at 9:58am, I'll clock drink pickup when it's finally ready. The team here seems quite uncoordinated. Wife drinks decaf black tea - - it's not available here as a brew nor as teabags to purchase. Man at register kept taking orders, even after there were about 14 people waiting for their drinks. Perhaps his manpower could have been better spent making drinks to help uncrowd the lobby. 2 people have asked, "do you have a mobile order for me?" This is an increasing concern: people who order on line skip the line, disrespecting those of us waiting patiently. Y'all will never convince all of us to use the app, so you may need 2 lines of workers making drinks. 10:22 and my drink is here. Respectfully, 24 minutes is too long to wait for...

When I say that my man and I are addicts, I mean we are routine regulars at home. We have managed a collection of cold cups [about 20 in the past year] purchased with 🌟 alone. We're in town on business for ADT Solar, stopped in for our daily 'default setting', if you will, and have just experienced, hands down, the best Starbucks beverage either of us have EVER had the pleasure of induging in! As if, in this one venti iced brown sugar shaken espresso, [with 4 pumps white mocha and caramel drizzle], I was handed the excuse for every single penny I've ever spent at Starbucks. Every. Single.
