So I sent my brother over to the Taco Bell with a paper that had the list of what I wanted on there and he gets it and comes back and I'm looking at it and I'm like no the order is wrong so I call and the young girl says I gave him what was on the paper she says that lux box you cannot pick and choose I got a loaded beefy nachos then I got the Luxe cravings box which you're supposed to be able to pick and choose what you want it instead they put down a supreme Luxe box which you don't get to pick and choose and then when I went back over there the manager says oh no you cannot pick and choose with that that is only online you can't do that in the store I said sir I've done it before he says no you cannot I have worked here 10 years you cannot well I looked it up and yes you can they said the supreme Luxe box you cannot choose with that but that is not what I wrote on the paper I wrote a luxe craving box so I could choose what I wanted so they charged me for that the loaded beefy nachos and everything else that I have wrote down that I want it with the Luxe box which was the chalupa a crunchy taco the soda and the cinnamon twists so they have very poor service there the manager doesn't even know what he's talking about and I will not be going back over there anytime soon and I do not recommend it to anybody and this was the Taco Bell on 83rd and Peoria avenue and I called like five other Taco bells and they said yes you can switch out stuff on the Luxe craving box we're over here at this one they were saying no so they were lying you can switch things out. Now I know why they only...

This may also be a test store to confirm past and future failures within the corporation?
Lobby at 50 degrees on a 75 degree midmorning visit with no thermostat on the wall to regulate. Manager unavailable to speak with about the operation and discouraged by counter employee as if he was scared of the person? This place likes to operate like self serve car wash with Very, Very minimal customer interaction but does want your money, figure that one out?
Keep in mind that most of the good places to eat have the owner involved on daily operations, especially during busy periods of the day and getting the consumer's feedback to help adjust the dials of the operation that can benefit most everyone involved.
This place also seems to quickly forget that you actually drove by 6 other places to eat there and then once you arrive they litterally shut the door on any potential connection leaving the customer feeling like this is ALL for the owner and their customer can once again continue to wear a bag over their head as they are just another number to them.
Ever wonder if these cold robots who run this place actually have a home to go to with a family to interact with? I do!
Maybe taking the staff on a trip to In-n-Out Burger would illustrate to these folks what hard work, good people, good pay and sincere human interaction with some kindness...
Read moreMy SO wanted to try Taco Bell again, last time we were here was during Covid, and remember being disappointed then, but we were curious as occasionally something looks tasty.
We tried to order on the app, but the app would error out as "too many items". For two people worth of food. Delete that shitty app.
So ok, order from the drive through, and bam - of course our order gets screwed up when a human need be involved because their mobile application can't cope with items + sauce packets. In particular, the one damn thing I really wanted, a crunchwrap supreme, was what was missed.
Everything else was mediocre at best. For $50 in food for 2 people, we expected leftovers as lunch next day, but not really for what we got save one item each.
Lesson learned - it'll be another leap year or decade before I bother with them again. Thanks as always for the overpriced and crappy memories, Taco Bell!
Edit 8/25, SO didn't learn her lesson last time and brought home Taco Bell again. For $50 dollars in food, everything was tiny and sloppy, with a grilled stuffed burrito for 9 dollars coming in HALF the size of a Del Taco burrito we usually get in BOGO sales at the same as their full price. This time even she was incensed and angry. I finally asked if this was really now the last time we had to suffer any childhood impressions that Taco Bell was once actually good and a good value?
Seriously, just go to Del Taco, it's...
