The buzz was right. I’ve always got my eyes and ears open for new coffee spots and when I heard The Valley Buzz opened I added it to my list of places I’d like to support. I always try to support local before the big chains and I’m so glad I decided to head over to Peoria today to check them out. I knew instantly this was my vibe by the way o was greeted and the conversation that came so easy. I hate that awkward small talk you get sometimes. Today was all smiles and was thankful for their patience as I went t over the menu. They are still currently serving their holiday drinks, plus their latte’s and basic menu stables such as cold brew (my favorite) and of course cappuccinos and energy drinks. The options don’t stop there if you aren’t a coffee lover. They also have smoothies, lemonades and even small bites such as bagels and breakfast sandwiches, yum. Today I knew I was trying their cold brew which is locally sourced from Press Coffee. I was pleased to see you could even buy it to go in the cans. I will definitely do that next time so I can enjoy it at home too. Today I wanted to try multiple drinks so I ordered my usual cold brew with hwc and sf vanilla and a birthday cake latte (sprinkles and all). I had a few of my teens with me so we also ordered a Silver Bell off their Christmas menu which is a gingerbread chai with whipped cream and cinnamon and a Blondie off their signature menu. We were told it’s one of their most popular. We got that one blended since my son doesn’t care for basic iced options. I didn’t get food this time since we were headed to another local spot soon after, but I’ll be back to let you know when I do. Service was phenomenal. So kind and welcoming. After talking for a few I realized they have been open about a year and took over a precious spot. There were quite a few people inside; many who were working on laptops a s others just enjoying the day. The inside isn’t too large, but offers a cozy couch and multiple tables as well as a high top around the d the window area. Great find. Support local and give these guys a chance. You...
Read moreSo, I escaped the gilded cage of my home office and ventured out into the wild world to try a new coffee shop. My destination? The Valley Buzz. I'd heard whispers of its friendly staff and decent coffee, so I decided to investigate.
First off, the staff? As advertised. These folks are like sunshine on a cloudy day. Chatty, friendly, and seemingly genuinely happy to be there.
I decided to skip the coffee and go for something a bit more adventurous: The Cacti. A watermelon, strawberry, and lime energy drink that sounded like a refreshing oasis in this desert heat. And it was refreshing and delicious. However, it was $9 after tax and tip for the 24oz (originally $6.95) which definitely hurt my wallet.
The ambiance is nice. Lots of little tables that can be pushed together for group work or casual catch-ups. But here's the kicker: the chairs. I don't think my posterior is particularly large, more average size but these chairs were designed to encourage productivity by making you uncomfortable after 20 minutes. The couch and lounge chairs are a saving grace but have limited seating.
Overall, The Valley Buzz is a nice spot to grab a quick drink and a chat, but don't plan on settling in for a productive workday. Your backside...
Read moreI’m disappointed in this place
I went for the first time and won’t come back . Believe me . I was there on a Sunday around 7 am . I ordered two shots of espresso and little bit of half@half and an avocado bagel . The tall lady was nice and she took my order . She didn’t say anything at all about my order.
I was surprised I got only 2 shots of espresso without the half@half. The guy was so unprofessional and responded I will do it this time but next time we will charge you . He was like this like a Latte. I was like whatever I always order this everywhere I go , even at Starbucks . They just charge me for the shots of espresso and that’s it . Who charges for half and half ? It is available for customers upon request. Anyways the rude guy gave me my drink and he said it again . We will charge you next time . I was like wow Not again
And the avocado bagel didn’t taste good at all It wasn’t even toasted Very disappointed
I won’t come back again I will keep going to Black Rock coffee They are nice and friendly Go to Black Rock coffee You...
