It's dark, music is a little loud. This is a hard one for me. I love love sushi. Salmon is my goto. I don't do the fried or ver sauced. I love a nice piece of raw fish, and their fish is really good, not the best I have had, but good worth the price to say the least. The issue is I spent a fair amount of time reviewing the options. I saw Wasabi mayo on a lot of their rolls. So I read picked two rolls and an appetizer. All 3 items have Wasabi in them. If you like Wasabi, great if not, and you are like me, and hate it ruins the whole meal......
I paid 57 after tip for food that to me was 😖 I'm disappointed. If it was in the description, I would have picked something else. So the review is for me a 3, but it's really just if you don't like Wasabi, they put Wasabi. Mail on everything, and they do not disclose it on all of their items, and it will ruin your meal, and it is expensive to be extremely disappointed. I choked down, paid my ticket left a tip. It's not their fault well. I feel that it is because every other item disclose that there was Wasabi on it or in it. So either way, I'm not gonna take it out on some server. That's just doing their job, still extremely disappointed. And I will not...

Entrees: Gyoza Chefs nigiri special Omurice Chirashi
Surprised how good the gyoza were tasted like the pan fry ones from cherryblossom noodle cafe so yummy, the nigiri was a bit of a disappointment on the aspect of paying $20 for tuna, salmon and idk yellowtail or some letter simple fish , when I’m used to atleast get a piece of octopus in a nigiri combo felt like a rip off for three basic cheap fish , not even a piece of shrimp lmao , tasted not super fresh or mouth watering but wasn’t warm and was a bit cold so it wasn’t bad overall atleast just a rip off for what I got for what I expected getting which is a assortment of fish and such especially from them since they have more seafood you don’t see for nigiri options often like scallop , snapper, etc… unless you go to a pricey place, omurice was def white person verison with huge chunks of chicken and corn only on the inside mixed with the rice with a thick dry omelet on top , it actually was the best part for it being bland a bit in seasoning but the rice was moist , def was really good even if it’s not the omurice I typically have , and the chirashi was alright same with the comment I made...
Read moreUPDATE! We continue to frequent Yama, mostly on the weekends, but we went in last Wednesday and they have an AMAZING deal!! Check out their all-you-can-eat menu!! Almost everything you could want is on this menu. The roll I have every week, Spicy Albacore, is on there. A5 Wagyu is on there!! Gyoza, shrimp tempura, sashimi, nigiri... it's all there!! This is a must do! Even my daughter ate more than her $20 worth (Adults are $39.95 and kids 6-11 are $19.99). Note that the whole table must do the all-you-can-eat, and I recommend ordering a few at at time as leftovers will be charged. Don't forget to ask for Maritza's section! She's fantastic!!
I'm super picky with my sushi. I lived in major West Coast cities for the majority of my life, so I had access to really fresh sushi. I can honestly say we love this place!! It is so tough to find a great sushi place in the desert, and it took us a while to find Yama. We eat here once every week or two. Our regular server, Maritza, is fantastic!! We always look forward to our meals! Highly...
