UPDATE: After talking to my bank, and the police and getting the correct avenue to follow on resolving this, I receive a call back from China Buffett. It was the manager, and she proceeded to tell me that I was only charged one time, I was wrong. When I said I had it on my bank statement, she continued getting louder and eventually screaming at me, that no it wasn't there, it was accidental and not there. Then she hung up on me. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😐😬🥺 Nope never again. I'll go out of town from now on.
My friend and I went to dinner. We got buffet, and each got water. I got hot tea as I usually do. I'VE NEVER BEEN CHARGED FOR HOT TEA!! When I got my bill, I was charged $2 for it. (Plus they added in an automatic 15% gratuity, when we had literally no service other than drinks being brought to the table. But I didn't realize this until I got home.) I asked about the tea charge and the girl said they've always charged for tea and laughed at me. I've gone to this place for over 25 years. No they haven't. When I asked to see the manager, she said there wasn't one. They argued with me about the charge and finally took my tea, then took the charge off. I got home and found out they had charged me twice for my dinner!! 2 separate charges!!! I will never eat here again. Let's not even discuss the dead bugs on the floor by the kitchen door, or the old woman standing up at the buffet table itself, eating over it. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ These people have gotten extremely rude and disgusting over the years. This time, I'm taking it to court, and hopefully they'll end up getting shut down eventually. They have no respect for the people in the town they serve, and they'll treat people any way they want to....
Read moreI won't go back again. I work in food. McDonald's is clean in town. I don't work at McDonald's. I'm going there before I ever spend my money at China buffet. I came to eat with my friend. Two young women, both ordered waters and a water for a child that turned 2 in August 2021. We came September 9th, 2021. I didnt even make a special plate for my child because the only options were Styrofoam so when I got my plate naturally I just had 2. So I gave my child food off of my plate and put it on the second. She was in a high chair. We didn't even go for seconds and were served a $40.30 bill. I was shocked so I decided to not leave a tip for the 1st time in my life. They were gonna get atleast 5$ from me since I work in food as well. The other young lady was going to tip as well. The bill was so outrageous to me I asked the couple sitting by us about it and than they informed us of the automatic 10% tip. Wow. There's a sign on the wall when you walk in. When we walked in we waited for over 5 mins for the hostess, weird. And we were the only people there. I should have known but trusted this place. I'm never going to China buffet again. You lost a customer forever. After a tourist told me he was charged over $16 for one person and he will never go...
Read moreThis is all 100% fact,we looked online for their prices and found a menu with prices, looked reasonable so we went there for the dinner buffet, they will say it’s not their menu btw,and will argue with you about it.Then they will threaten to put you on the wall of shame if you refuse to pay their prices.Oh the prices are posted…behind the counter, behind the cashier, behind the clutter, behind the register and drawn on a white construction paper with a black permanent marker. My wife,my two young daughters 4/9 and I came out to $74…they charge $15.99 adults and the girls were like $10.99 each, they also charge for drinks, each and everyone one which was like another $4,oh don’t forget the hidden 10% “server fee” which will get added to your bill. The only thing we were served was a round of sodas and they cleared off the one plate each of us had.Complete joke, save your money and go to Applebees up the road and spend half that,WAY WAY better atmosphere, superior food,CLEAN,and be actually SERVED by someone.NEVER again…..and that’s why too it should have been a red flag when Saturday night at 6:30 and the...
