TLDR: Bravo's was sold and is under new (terrible) management. The manager greeted me with a poor attitude, inaccurate product description and pricing, without apology. Charlie would never have operated like this and is missed by me and surely others too. I am wishing him all the best, I won't forget how well he treated us as kids and into my adulthood. I changed my review from 5 stars to 1.
I have been going to Bravo's for 20+ years. Unfortunately, today was the last time. There are plenty of pizza places in Perkasie after all. Perkasie Pizza and Pasta, Pino's, Domino's, Johnny Roc's Pizza Plus, Pizza Pub... Quick Stop.
Tonight, I received the worst service I can recall. I got the new menu in the mail today and decided I would place an order for pickup. A Sicilian pie and a Personal Specialty Pizza. The "Buffalo Chicken Fries Pizza" in particular, which per the menu I received in the mail, was $15.99.
Everyone operating the counter was friendly to me, I paid for my order which was not quite ready yet and had a seat. The order had cost a little more than I thought, and I didn't wind up having enough cash to use my coupon. I decided to have a look at what I did wrong and found that I had been overcharged.
I brought this to the attention of the counter person who was quite pleasant. He requested assistance from the manager who told me the Personal Buffalo Chicken Fries Pizza was $18.99 not $15.99. To this I responded that the menu listed it as $15.99. She told me that it was an old menu (it was the same menu I got in the mail today) and that somewhere on the menu it stated that all prices are subject to change without notice anyway. She failed to locate this text because it is actually not written on the menu. Upon failing to do so she justified overcharging me citing "prices are going up all the time" and "everyone else is doing it".
I realized I was getting nowhere fast, and she was being very unprofessional so I decided I would eat the $3 (even though it was actually $8 with the coupon I was unable to use) to avoid any further unpleasantness. I took my pizzas home to find in addition to being overcharged my order was incorrect. My Buffalo Chicken Fries Pizza ("Buffalo Sauce, Chicken Fries, & Blue Cheese") was actually "Buffalo Sauce, Grilled Chicken, French Fries, & Blue Cheese on the Side". After being overcharged and treated poorly in the first place I was not very happy to discover this, as I had confirmed the item description on the phone when I ordered.
I gave a call into the restaurant and the guy at the counter picked up the phone. I told him about my concern, and he recalled our conversation where we confirmed the item description. I heard the manager in the background yelling about how there was chicken on the pizza and berating me, so I asked to speak with her since she was being consulted. She again blamed this on menu writers after trying to tell me I was incapable of reading the menu myself. It turns out she was the one incapable of reading, and this was evident while she was in the process of proofreading the menu writer's work.
After being offered no resolve on my order being prepared incorrectly and being overcharged for it, I reminded her that I had both been overcharged and the recipient of a product I was less than satisfied with. She reminded that all prices were subject to change without notice. She made no effort to make things right. I then compared this menu to a seafood menu with lobster tails offered at market price, to which I was responded to with a click as she...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant. I used to eat here maybe 2-3 times a month for a year, The food has always been good, I only got a bad batch of wings once. But I will never order from here again. I ordered the two entree special over slice, and since that special is just a title and a blank field on the app, you have to write in everything from memory or go look up what a particular entree comes with..salad dressing, pasta type, whatever that comes with your entree. In my blank field I wrote: “Chicken parmigiana , no salad dressing. Chicken parmigiana—no marinara, sub vodka sauce , Russian dressing.” When I got my food, both entrees had vodka sauce on them. Then the owner told slice that there was nothing wrong with what they did and the order I placed was made correctly. Now if I were in a sit down restaurant, the kitchen would eat the cost of the entire entree and make a new one with the correct sauce on it. I used to work in a restaurant, I clearly understand what I wrote. I asked other people, they clearly understood as well what was meant. But for me to be gaslit, insulted, and having to have used tomato sauce from my own pantry as crazy as that is when I had paid for sauce already—I am just so upset to have been treated this way by slice and the owner! And slice condoned it! It’s as if they never read into it and just said to the owner, the customer isn’t happy, and the owner said back, no, we didn’t do any wrong, no resolution will be offered, tell customer that. Slice and Bravos knew there was an issue with the order, but I told bravos I had already reached out to slice for the resolution. Neither party will take responsibility or offer an apology or correct the error. I just wanted a bleeping coupon. I will not use either again. I also do not appreciate the rude and unkind way slice “no name” customer service rep on an email spoke to me. There are nicer way to say things. This is what slice said, if you want to come to your own conclusions: “Upon reviewing the details, we saw that the request was for “chicken parmigiana with vodka sauce.” Since there were no additional notes specifying what the second chicken parmigiana should include, the store prepared both the same way, according to the instructions provided.” Update: the owner called me and said he just got back in his restaurant after being on vacation.. he confirmed that he never spoke to Slice. The owner Tony offered me a free chicken dinner to make it up to me because he said I’m a good customer and doesn’t want to lose me. I really appreciate that Tony, thanks. That is much better than a coupon. I’m sorry that slice is so terrible and that they lie. I’m deleting the app right...
Read moreI'm so far beyond annoyed that I don't even know what to say. Ordered a Lamb gyro online and was prompted to pick it up in 20 minutes. Show up, give my name they confirm the order, I pay they hand me my food which feels light but I ignore it. Get home, it's raw buttered bread with garlic powder poured over it. Take it back and run into the guy that rang me up outside and he addresses me and says "wrong order? Got 2 slices of pizza?" I said no you gave me bread. I go inside young girl addresses me not with hello but "what seems to be the problem" I say " I got bread" I ordered a Lamb gyro. She and the older woman standing next to her look at each other clearly either confused or shocked and wisper to one another for a minute then go whisper in the kitchen for a minute then back to each other before the young girl tells me it will be about 5 minutes do you mind waiting? I said I suppose I don't have a choice and took a seat. No sooner did I sit down did a woman walk in holding a bag similar to the one I received who addressed the counter girl and said my son ordered garlic bread and we got a gyro. Older woman behind the counter takes the gyro and walks to the kitchen then walks back out to the register. IMMEDIATELY out the windows comes her garlic bread, old lady passes it to her and sends her on her way. IMMEDIATELY after returning to the window another bag comes thru, she takes it walks around the counter looks me dead in the eye with a straight face and no smile and says "Lamb gyro?" and offered me the Damm bag the lady just brought back! I JUST got home from a 12 hour shift and ordered the food before jumping in the shower then running to get it. I wasn't in the mood to argue but she straight up swapped our returned food right infront of my Damm face!! To top it off I'm so hungry I'm gonna eat it anyway so I get home and open it and they ate some of the fries!!! Now I'm throwing it in the trash and...
