There’s a little place in Perris where time slows down, the soundtrack hums easy, and breakfast doesn’t just nourish you. It understands you.
It’s called La Gare Café. Walk through the door and you’re greeted not with a line or a cold counter stare, but with friendly baristas who know your name by the second visit and will gladly turn your breakfast plate into a wrap if that’s what the morning calls for. Want a Denver Omelette rolled into a tortilla? Say the word. They’ll make it happen, and they’ll do it with a smile.
The couches and chairs near the entrance don’t feel like a waiting area. They feel like an invitation. Sit down, take a breath. Let the kids unwind. There’s plenty of space to bring the family, whether it’s for a quick iced latte or a scrumptious mid-morning brunch. And speaking of that latte, they get it right every time. Cold, strong, smooth. It’s not just a drink. It’s a ritual.
And then there’s the food.
This place doesn’t just serve chilaquiles. They serve ChilaKillers. Bold name. Bolder flavor. The red sauce is made from scratch with red beets. Yes, beets. And it’s absolutely phenomenal. Balanced heat. Creamy texture. The kind of dish that makes you wonder why everyone else is playing it safe.
The menu has something for everyone. From avocado toast with a kick to crepes that could charm the most skeptical Parisian. But it’s more than just the ingredients. It’s the care behind them. The warmth. The welcome.
La Gare Café isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. They’re just making sure the ride is smooth, delicious, and worth coming back for. In a world spinning a little too fast, that’s exactly what you need.
Don’t sleep on it. Order the ChilaKillers. Sip the latte. And take a seat....
Read moreMy family and I recently visited La Gare Cafe, and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and despite the slight hiccup with the pancakes being unavailable, we found ourselves enjoying every bite.
I opted for the waffle, and it did not disappoint. Additionally, we sampled the breakfast sandwich and Caesar salad, both of which were delicious and prepared with care.
What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service provided by Ariana. She went above and beyond to help us navigate the menu and ensure we made the right choices. Her attentiveness and knowledge truly made our visit memorable.
However, the only downside we encountered was the inability to leave a tip on our card. It was inconvenient to have to scramble for cash, and it made us wonder how many tips the staff might be missing out on from customers who simply don't have cash on hand. It's a small but significant issue that could easily be rectified by updating the payment system to include tipping options.
Overall, La Gare Cafe exceeded our expectations in terms of food quality and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to others. We just hope that they consider updating their tip system for the convenience of both customers and...
Read moreAlthough this is my first review of the establishment, it is not my first time eating here. I order tea, breakfast food, or hot cocoa. My experience is always the same. They provide a clean establishment; the menu is not overpriced, and the staff are very professional. The wait time is average. I luck up because it is never crowded when I order. 💥 UPDATE:Over the course of a few months I've noticed a decline in the quality of service and food. I'm not one who complains about a lot but my past few visits were below average. There's always a mix-up with my order. Today I waited for over 20 minutes for a "wrap". A large group walked in about ten minutes after I did and the party of seven received their order before I did. I had to address it with an employee (I'm guessing shift manager) and he claimed that my wrap was being pressed, there was no apology for the inconvenience. I waited for six more minutes before I requested for a full refund in which was honored. The fact that it was a mistake on their end is fine but you see me sitting in the dining area as a single guest, it should have dawned other staff that my order had not been made yet. This is my confirmation to not patronize this business because my last three experiences have been...
