Ghost Runner Pizza: A Slice of Heaven
There are moments in life that leave an indelible mark, moments so profound that they forever alter the course of everything you know. The first time I whispered “I love you” to my girlfriend—now my wife. The first time I held my sons in my arms. The first time I watched The Lord of the Rings and was transported into another realm. The day I sang the Hallelujah Chorus around a crackling campfire with the boys. And, of course, the unforgettable moment I grabbed the bull by the horns—literally—and clung to life with every ounce of my being. These are the moments that will echo forever in the chambers of my soul.
And now, I add another memory to this sacred list: the first time I tasted the pizza at Ghost Runner Pizza in Perry, Georgia.
The moment that first bite touched my lips, it was as though I had walked into a celebration of the finest things in life—where every person who ever loved me gathered in joyous harmony, lifting me higher with each chew. Each subsequent bite was a letter to my spirit, a declaration that life is worth every breath, every heartbeat—that I am worthy of this joy, this abundance.
The dough, both tender and sturdy, was a testament to the artistry of its creator—a labor of love, homemade with precision and heart. And the pizza itself, cradled in the warmth of a wood-fired oven, emerged like a sun rising over the horizon—glowing with an inviting promise of delight.
With each bite, I was no longer tethered to the earth. My soul floated, suspended between the stars, before gently returning to the ground, grounded by the unparalleled taste. And just when I thought the experience could not be more perfect, I took a sip of Mexican Coke, and it was as if every flavor in existence came together in a harmonious crescendo.

Read moreWell….I heard that Perry GA was opening a new pizza restaurant in town and decided to go check this out with my in-laws! When I reviewed the menu, I saw that they had very limited options in terms of pizza and drinks! I’m from Atlanta GA so it would be tough to say you have the “best pizza in GA” as one of the reviewers said!
When we got there, we were actually the first in line! As we ordered and received our pizza, one of our pizzas (garlic) was cold! Also, I guess it’s just the style of pizza, but each dish did not look or taste like it was fully cooked!
This placed does not have the best pizza! The only reason I believe people love this is because there is not enough great pizza place in this area! Marcos definitely has better pizza! Personally, If I were the owners I would have done more traveling and taste testing to see what pizzas were great! Perry is a beautiful area and is up and coming. The owners should be more strategic with their research and design on how to build a business! The aesthetics of the place seem too dull, etc! If a business owner from the Atlanta area would have came to Perry, they would be able to show them how to run and...
