My husband & I were staying at the Belamere for our anniversary & decided to come here for dinner. We are not from the area so we were not sure what to expect, but gave it a chance anyway & we regretted it. There is limited street parking which posed an initial problem. Also, upon entering the establishment, the noise was extremely loud, more so than your even your average bar. I could not even hear my spouse standing right next to me. We waited about 5 min to be seated. We sat outside, another mistake. There was no spots available inside so it wasn't an option. It was miserable. There is hardly any fans and the ones they do have does not cover the whole outside space. The chips tasted stale and old, the salsa tasted like it was just poured from a can. Nasty flavor & consistency was weird. Our waitress actually brought soda from the machine that was no good & after 1 sip you could tell it needed to be replaced. The noise was too loud to the point during the entire meal I had to keep having my husband repeat himself. When our food arrived disappointment is an understatement. It was lukewarm, not hot, like it had been heated up in a microwave. It tasted as if it had sat out all day. The meat in my tamales was dry & flavorless. The rice was cold. Moreover, afterward my husband & I got extremely sick w/ food poisoning. It was overall just a bad experience, especially for our anniversary. Extremely disappointed. We still left a tip for the waitress only because we felt sorry for her. She tried to do her job and wad nice. But in regards to the sodas & food.... Just go elsewhere. Save your time, money & yourself from food poisoning. It's not worth it. Should of just went to Cantina Louie bck home...

My buddy and I came here for the first time, he happen to drive by and noticed the place with a new name, so we decided to go and check it out. I was very surprised how good the food was and the service was great, Lara was our waitress at the bar, I ordered Caribbean soft chicken tacos 2 corn and Lara recommended flour and needless to say they did not disappoint. They were delicious and that was out of my comfort zone having pineapple in my tacos, I took a chance because Lara was a good looking waitress, entertaining and very smart, she recommended them, but mostly flour was her favorite so I took a chance out of my comfort zone, I tried both and it was hard to go one way or the other because of how authentic and delicious they were. The salsa was homemade and it was great, as well as the guacamole even though I like a little more spice or kick to it, it was still enjoyable. Lastly my buddy order 2 patron shots and the owner Carlos swayed us into some different tequila he didn't have out, man that was some smooth tequila and worth it. Carlos has a great place, great staff very atentive and the atmosphere was great, I would recommend Lupita Cantina for authentic Mexican food made from scratch, it tasted every bit that. Me and my buddy will definitely be...

On our way back home, we stayed the night near Perrysburg, OH, where we found the excellent Lupita's Cantina, @lupitasperrysburg. They have a vegan menu with vegan protein options, including vegan shrimp, which is really unusual to find. I was able to get vegan shrimp fajitas, imagine that!! The food was quite good. They also have margaritas by the carafe, which is fun and a good value. I wish we had a place like this near us--we'd be there all the time. We'll definitely stop here anytime we're in the area. We met the owner, who was very friendly. His family has a few other restaurants in the area called Cocina de Carlos (with ADDITIONAL vegan options!!). He said they even used to have a fully vegan restaurant, so they know what they're doing with vegan food. The restaurant itself is really tastefully done, and has the largest tequila collection in the state, if you're into that. The building is historic--I guess it was the first Ford dealership or something like that--and there are a number of historical photos displayed in which you can see a lot of the historical details that are still present, so it's a very cool space. And the overall vibes are very good. They have a patio that looks like it would be great in the summer. I hope we can make it back then! Highly...

First time coming. Even though this is a kin to Cocina de Carlos, it is not even comparable. The main theme of the night was sodium and temperature. The salsa was extremely salty. Our queso dip coagulated within a few minutes. Never have experienced any other restaurants with queso dip. I asked the server if he could reheat, and he replied I can't take anything back to the kitchen. I would have thought the response would have been offered a replacement. It was the same with our food, temperature was luke warm. The Barron margarita was just awful, very bitter. The food didn't taste bad it was just OK. Prices seemed higher than most Mexican restaurants.

Love this place . . . definitely our go to for Mexican. Recommendations include trash tacos, queso chicken (add on shrimp), quesadilla loca, fajitas. Current special is Pollo Tropical - it’s delicious, hope they keep it on the menu! Regular salsa is pretty mild but can request spicy. They have a very impressive tequila selection (and regular tequila tastings). I love the zero margarita - light and refreshing, not too sweet. If you save room - both the flan and tres leches are very good. Almost always sit on the bar side dining room - Corrine and Laura epitomize quality customer service.
