Local Roots Juice Co. — Restaurant in Perrysburg

I used to enjoy popping in here for a little treat, but within the last year it’s gone downhill. One of the last times I stopped in, the grass was so overgrown out front with weeds everywhere. Inside, there’s so much going on it’s getting a little tacky. I understand the shop is small but then why dedicate a wall to hanging your sweatshirts for sale?

The juices themselves got smaller but price stayed the same. I know cost of business has increased so I understand that. However, I don’t think the juices are good enough to be buying 1 for the price it is. Maybe trying a small 4 pack “sampler” to take home that’s price friendly would be a nice option.

And lastly— I know the staff works hard dealing with the public, making their orders, etc and they deserve to make tips. However, I think it’s impolite to check me out for walking in and grabbing a juice, and you spin the screen around to me with tip option. If I were only reviewing the food and drinks I would give this place 5 stars without a doubt. Unfortunately, I have to instead only give 3 stars because of the negative atmosphere created by the young girls running the place. While I sat and waited for my avocado toast to be made, I listened to them make snarky remarks about every single person who walked through the door. Some comments were made after those customers left, others while they were still in the store. Mostly talking about their appearance. They clearly thought they were gossiping quiet enough that nobody could hear but they failed that mission. Not sure if this is more a reflection on the store, these girls parents, society in general, or maybe all of the above? Either way, it's sad these girls think it's cool to be judgemental and treat other human beings that way. I promise you it's not and it says a lot more about you than it does about anybody...

So upon recommendation from a friend at work I decided to check this place out in Perrysburg surprised after being a resident for over 24 years that it even existed. After finishing my routine at the gym I landed here to find their menu full of various healthy options containing everything from Antioxidants to Superfoods such as avocado and other exotic fruits. The smoothies and toast are phenomenal and the staff are extremely kind and awesome at what they do providing the customer with picturesque food for those that deem their dishes worthy of social media. I now recommend this place to all of my peers suggesting that they order options such as the Avocado Toast or the Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie. My only suggestion to Local Roots juice Co is to please extend your hours to 7:00PM. I find myself rushing from work to the gym and then getting over to you guys hopefully someone out...
