Dunkin' — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

Yesterday on Friday October 18th,2024 between 10:05 am and 10:17 am right before my Lyft ride for the first time ever I was visiting this Dunkin Donuts. And the boy that worked between 10:05 am and 10:17 am was nice and I said I am just looking so he gave me space and went about doing the work that he needed to do. But the girl or the female that worked was so rude and unpleasant and unfriendly saying, "Are you going to order something?" so I had to respond saying I already told him(the boy) that I am just looking to get her off me and then me going a little away near the fridge where they store Poland Spring bottled water to breath and have some mental space after that girl was making me uncomfortable to look at the choices Dunkin Donuts have along with me booking my Lyft ride to go home. This girl is clearly not emotionally and mentally strong and mature and pure to interact and associate with me or anybody. And the reason I mentioned about the time is so that the management knows what girl I am talking about. Absolutely horrible service, we stepped in and the dudes behind the counter were obviously on downtime so we saw them stocking or whatever, so we asked a question about a donut and he answered with his back towards us, so I let it go because it’s not a big deal but I felt the weird attitude so then he started giving us attitude as we asked him about the donuts, and rolling his eyes and grabbing them while putting it in the bag and letting the bag fall over treating it like crap I asked him towards the end if he’s feeling alright, he ignored me. It was me and my father in law and my father in law didn’t even want to purchase anything, he wanted to leave. If my gf or his wife was there he would’ve heard their mouths. It was a brown dark skinned big bone mexican or Latino brother; the other one was in the drive through and he was lighter skinned with glasses he was fine he didn’t communicate with us. In 2024, Black patrons are denied a visit to the bathroom, and white patrons are allowed. Damn shame in a predominantly Brown part of the state.

We stopped to charge our electric vehicle and were disappointed. I went in first and asked for the bathroom after a long drive from NYC. They told me it was closed and I was instructed to go to Shop Rite. I didn't have a chance to order anything. I left and used the bathroom at the laundromat with no issues.

I told my friend at the charger. She followed shortly therafter and ordered a drink, asked for the bathroom, and was permitted. They had no explanation when she asked them why I was declined. She left.
