Mi Tierra Restaurant — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

I’m going to start off by saying that the food tasted great. But I’m giving Mi Tierra Restaurant 1 star because the customer service sucks. I ordered from the restaurant for the first time and had a very bad experience. I got a delivery this weekend. First of, the delivery got to my house 1 hour and 11 minutes later. Second, half of my order was missing. I ordered 2 orders, but instead of getting my whole order. I got charged for a large order of Chicharrones, when I clearly asked for an order of rice, beans and a small order of Chicharrones. Well the rice and beans were missing. I called the restaurant, to inquire about my order. The lady on the phone told me that I was right, that the other person who took my order forgot to write down my whole order. I told them that I didn’t want a large order of chicharrones, I wanted a small order with rice and beans. The person who originally took my order couldn’t get on the phone to speak to me. But the other lady told me that they will be coming back, to bring me the rest of the order. But I’m still waiting on it.... They never came and left me waiting on it all night. Even tho, I’m less than half a mile away. Half of my family had to eat something else for dinner because this restaurant’s customer service sucks. I will not be ordering from here again. I will be telling my friends and family to order from somewhere else. A complete disappointment from this...

If there was an option for 0 stars I would give it to this restaurant. If you could even call it a restaurant. First of all, when I first walked into the restaurant it smelled like I was walking into a nasty public bathroom. No one greeted us and it took 12 minutes for someone to greet us. Finally the girl came up to us and she did not look very hygienic and did not seem to know anything about the menu. The smell inside the restaurant kept getting worse as the night went on. I ended up ordering a mofongo with chicken, cheese and chicharrón. I started to choke on a small piece of bone. When I mentioned it to the waitress she took it and said she would speak to a manager. Turns out she was gaining time to throw away the “evidence”. The manager was not even there and she asked me to talk to the owners daughter. I went to talk to the daughter and ended up getting harassed by all of the workers there. Everyone gathered around me to put in their own opinion on how I was wrong and that I just wanted a free meal. I was spending more than 100 dollars there, what is 9 dollars out of my meal going to do for me? Not only did I get harassed by the workers but by the owners daughter as well. They also admitted to leaving all of the bones when mashing the chicken for the mofongo which is very dangerous for you consumers!. I do not recommend this place at all. Not to anyone!!!! DO...

WORSE RESTAURANT IVE EVER BEEN TO! To begin with I ordered tilapia, mashed potatoes and garlic shrimp. The tilapia was soaked in a gel like sauce which was just disgusting to even look at! Secondly the mashed potatoes was literally huge clumps I could lift entirely with my spoon. The shrimp was the worse of them all! Completely unsalted and barely cooked also soaked in a strange sauce that tasted nothing like garlic. I told the waitress nicely I was displeased with the whole dish and she proceeded to tell me that’s the way they cook there & and did not for a second apologize for our inconvenice NOTHING! Then she returns telling me she’s remove the cost of the shrimp and that’s the best she can do. I stated I would not pay for food I clearly barely touched and was poorly cooked and presented and she nastily picked to all the dishes and said “that’s fine I guess I will have to pay for it”! I was completely appalled by her rudeness and most imprtably the way they run they’re business! There was no Manager was not on duty, and when I asked another waistress to please let me know the time he would be in she told me he’s in and out but that our waitress happens to be his wife!
