Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Petal

Food is good. Dining room service is good. ....But the older bar lady told me off because of a time when I was there with my son and sister, and I bought a round of drinks for the table behind me. She was talking when I was. We had just come from an Orchestra concert. She got offended because the way I moved my hands (I fluttered my fingers because I didn't want the people I was buying drinks for to hear). She took it personally. After the fact, She became EXTREMELY RUDE. After I retuned a few times, I asked if I had offended her. She told me of her offense to my gesture which was designed to not reveal the fact I had bought the girls a round, but how she thought I was belittling her. The fairly new manager, when I tried to explain, told me he believed her, that I was disrespecting her, and was extremely rude to me as well. BEFORE their ire, one of their regular male bar flies who I later made peace with, had scared me so badly I had to call a police friend to escort me home. The manager did apologize on that occasion, but that was before he rudely told me that he did not believe my story that I meant no offense with my five finger finger wave when dining with my son. It is almost funny. If this weren't a business, I would laugh. I am a lawyer who used to bring clients there all the time. Now, I have been insulted publicly by a bartender who serves abusuve alcoholics, and her manager who supports it. I suppose I'll see where this goes as my reputation has been soiled. It was better before they brought this last manager in. My sister says he is clueless. I will not say what my son had to say. But all I can say now is wow! It is not the cute young female bartender. It is the older hefty female. Next time I go, as I will, it will be for the purposes of videotaping and filing suit. These two expose the company to A LOT of liability. If you have been treated this way here, you DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE IT!...

Then going to chili's or over 20 years in Colorado and here in Mississippi and of course like any restaurant when you go as often to one restaurant as I go to chili's you will see fluctuations and flexibility in the service and the food and I am more than happy to say that more often than not the food keeps me coming back and so does the service. Realistically? Sure sometimes your fries won't be completely perfect or there's too much of something or too little of something on your Burger or common human error from cook to cook like that has many variables because it's someone different and each person no matter what instructions they follow are going to have and show the differences between them and if you go to 1 restaurant long enough you can even guess who is cooking and that's not a bad thing. So I just didn't wanna be unrealistic in how my review would read so I'm trying to be honest and say that of course there are variables from day-to-day or night tonight but none of them have been unforgivable and none of them have been something that made me tip less or regret the ticket amount it's just that sometimes the food is even better than I expect that are hoped for and that's what keeps me...

I would leave 0 stars if possible. Absolutely horrible experience here. After being seated, we only saw our waiter twice in 1.5 hours. He took our order and brought our check. When we wanted a refill, we had to just stop anyone we could find. When our waiter came to give us the check, he then shorted me on my change and acted like it was no big deal. He was unpleasant when I demanded the rest of my change. Happened not once but twice. I tried to come back and give the establishment a second chance, but ended up with the same waiter and same awful service. Both times, he shorted my change. Some of the staff members there were so nice. The lady who was not our waitress was so very helpful, and we made sure to tip her directly as opposed to leaving the waiter who didn't do his job a tip.
