Pizza is fantastic, soup is fantastic, pasta is fantastic. You're probably seeing a trend here. This family knows how to run a restaurant, it's not the cheapest pizza you can find, but this quality is more than worth it. The atmosphere isn't like that of an expensive restaurant, and purely aesthetically it can feel a little cold at night, (big windows). Still, when one of the staff comes over to your table, they make up for the simple decor with charm and quiet competence. Then the food comes (and I would recommend going to the place and getting it hot out of the oven). When the pizza arrives it looks great, and tastes better. The ingredients are masterfully combined into a diverse menu of wonderful Italian favourites. Each one I've had is a treat, I hope to go there many more times...

I’m also a chef and former restaurant owner so you can rest assured that this review can be trusted. The sourdough crust reminds me of my own and is outstanding! The toppings are fresh and piled high. They will do whatever you want so we did a 1/2-n-1/2 specialty pizza- 1/2 Italian countryside and 1/2 Romana (highly recommended) and both were incredible. Also do not miss out on the bruschetta Hectors style as it is fantastic as well and a must try for a first timer. The service was also outstanding and Hectors son waited on us. After a week of unbelievable seafood, beaches and redwoods, we decided to "stay in" and try a local pizza place. So, we ordered from Hector's based on the reviews. Wow was it good! The sauce and the toppings were great...and the sourdough crust. What an amazing, unique flavor. We also ordered the Greek salad which was fresh and full of olives and other ingredients. I rated the service and atmosphere 5 stars even though we didn't eat there, because it was fun to talk with Hector's son and interact with the other patrons.
