Our time at McNears Restaurant in Petaluma was simply fantastic. Meeting up with friends, we enjoyed a wonderful evening sharing drinks and appetizers. The fried calamari was a crispy delight, perfectly seasoned and paired with a delectable dipping sauce. The pot stickers were a burst of flavor, leaving us craving for more.
The ambiance was inviting, creating a cozy space for conversation and relaxation. The attentive staff added to the positive experience, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates were promptly cleared.
McNears' attention to detail in both the culinary creations and the overall dining atmosphere truly impressed us. It's a spot where great conversations flow naturally, accompanied by delicious bites and refreshing sips.

Read moreExemplary customer service by the wait staff, a welcome reprieve from the frowns you get at most places. Lunch was had about a week ago – loved the (8$ I think) lunch mini-menu specials. We had the sandwich from that, I had the steak cobb and the other guest blackened salmon tacos. Ahi tacos were considered, but opted for the blackened salmon instead, maybe next time. Calamari appetizer was good, maybe should have asked for more-of-that-sauce, since we calama-dipped through it pretty fast.
• Wait staff is extremely attentive, caring, and personable • Dog-friendly outdoor seating area • Server immediately brought water for dogg-o, a nice touch, along with a snack :) you rock, and Riley loves you for it • Vibe is great if that's you thing. If you're looking for sheesh or posh, you might want to consider humming your electro-vehicle elsewhere for lunch, that's just my take on things and life in general • Clearly the locals...
Read moreVery very noisy. A good place for larger groups f6 or more to get a table. Everything seemed to have extra hot spices on them. I don't know why restaurants now feel like they have to make every dish extra hot. My ribeye steak was way over cooked, dry, tasteless. The corn on the cob would have been delicious if it hadn't had a ton of hot spices poured on it. The mashed potatoes were delicious. I ate about four bites of my steak, two bites of my over spiced corn on the cob and decided to eat no more. I don't know why I didn't return my meal but I think I just didn't want to insult my host. I asked for a to-go box and as we walked to the car I threw it in the nearest trash can very discreetly. This place must be doing something right because it was super busy on a Sunday night and it's been there for years and years and years. But most of the people in my party did not feel the food or service what's...
