I am a Petaluma resident and have been for a long time, so I was happy that Stellina moved in. Five stars for yummy, delicious, pastries, and drinks. However, the service there is subpar. I usually try not to write bad reviews because it’s easier to write bad versus good, but today was the straw that broke the camels back. Stellina is very expensive. Yes, a lot of places around Petaluma are expensive, but Stellina is by far the most expensive café. With that being said, when it comes to paying a premium customers should also be getting the same service to reflect the pricing; however, that is almost never the case! I have been to Stellina well over 20+ times and only twice has the service been good. I typically go before the rush (around 7:30ish in the am).

The ladies who take your orders are always rude only a quick greet, no smile, then they go back to small talk with themselves. I usually order a lot of pastries for my working team and never once do they ask me if I would like my pastries to be boxed up. They bag them up leaving the raspberry cream puffs on its side in the bag. Then the bags of raspberry cream puff oozes out and makes a mess. Every time!! I also shouldn’t have to ask for forks and knives either. They should just automatically ask me if I need a fork knife or give me a fork and knife when I order frittatas. Sometimes the forks and knifes are not out by the straws and napkins. So when I get to my destination that has no forks and knives, I am left to eat a frittata crumbling in my hands falling everywhere because I have no fork to pick it up. There have been many cases where it’s literally just me ordering and I have ordered 4 to 5 drinks at a time and they never once give me a drink holder. I always have to ask for one. Like seriously? You’re telling me one person can carry 4 to 5 drinks plus several bagged pastries, their car keys and wallet? I mean last I checked I was not an octopus. But I know I am talking to a wall, because I don’t think the service is gonna change anytime soon. It starts from the top and I too have seen bad behavior from the owner through her helping other customers out along with us having our own experience with her. It’s sad, I would hope she would take this constructive criticism and hopefully coach her team on how to deliver five star service with her premium pricing. It would go a long way. But frankly they are so big and probably now in their heads that they can give crap service and people will...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stellina Pronto, a delightful bakery cafe in Petaluma, CA, it's a hidden gem that's worth a visit!

Their pastries. Oh my goodness, they are amazing! Each pastry is a work of art, perfectly crafted with love and skill.

We had a passion fruit kouign amann pastry, muffins, piadines and their soup of the day and every one in our party was over the moon about their choice.

They have all the coffee options, herbal teas and cold beverage options as well.

Their savory options and prepared meals are top-notch. From savory quiches to gourmet sandwiches, everything is made with the same attention to detail as their pastries. It's the ideal place for a quick lunch or a leisurely brunch.

Their mercantile section has great finds from unique flours for your own baking to gifts and sweets.

The staff we have encountered have all been great and happy, professional and efficient.

One of the best parts is the outdoor seating. It's perfect for enjoying your food and coffee while soaking in the Petaluma sunshine. Just walking by, you can't help but smile seeing people sitting outside, chatting, and thoroughly enjoying themselves. It truly adds to the sense of community in the area.

In a nutshell, Stellina Pronto makes Petaluma more delicious in every way possible. So, if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be...

Anytime I'm in Petaluma, I have to make a stop at Stellina Pronto. It is such a cute, neighborhood bakery that serves beautiful and delicious pastries, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. It's hard for me to get out of there without committing to a days worth of calories in one sitting, but somehow I manage... It's a tight fit, so you can expect to stand in line in a cramped space for a bit before ordering, but it gives you plenty of time to peruse their gorgeous creations and make up your mind before reaching the counter. I especially love the pistachio cream puff and can't say no to it whenever it's available. It has crunchy pistachio on top and an insane custardy filling that is unreal. They also have a variety of savory pastries that I try to kid myself and say I can eat in addition to my sweets because it's not sugary, but, yeah... My tastebuds are always happy no matter what!

I don't live in the Bay Area anymore, but when I'm in the area in Petaluma I always make a stop at Stellina. Their baked goods are SO good and never disappoint. Their savory and sweet assortment of puffs are all great it's hard to choose. They have some premade salads you can pick up as well and little packaged Italian goodies that make for great gifts or pantry staples. I always love their focaccia. It's more of a pizza on focaccia and a perfect snack to share or meal on the go. The texture of the focaccia is so crispy on the outer edge and airy and chewy on the side. Pure perfection. The space is small inside and can get crowded but there's plenty of seating outside. The team is always welcoming and pleasant and super efficient. Plus for having Linea beans, my favorite coffee roasting co. Can't wait to return.

I was so sad to hear they recently started selling a bakery item with peanuts. This meant I wasn’t able to order any food, since they can’t guarantee no cross-contamination. I was hungrily excited for a pastry and a sandwich, so this was a huge bummer for me. I also asked for a chai latte and they were out of chai. It just wasn’t a great day to visit. I walked away with a mocha that had a cute design on top but was simply okay. I just personally didn’t have a great visit. Not much seating and the line inside made the place very crowded. Has a great atmosphere otherwise, and the pastries look very cute. Employee at the counter seemed stressed and in a rush.
