Usually we like this place. It’s not our top favorite, but maybe top 5? Location is convenient. However we had a horrible experience this time around. Please don’t seat parties unless the waitress/ waiter can handle it. We had the bartender as our waitress, so we were definitely understanding. We’ve both worked the industry before. However, after we ordered our drinks and food, we didn’t really see much of our waitress. She kept coming back asking for clarification on what we ordered. After that we didn’t see her until she brought back our check (20 minutes after we finished eating). I saw her pour my frozen drink and it sat up on the counter for about 10-11 minutes. By the time she dropped off our drinks my frozen margarita half half easy half melted. She had made several other drinks before delivering ours. Like I said, we were trying to be understanding. So I didn’t send it back, however she should have poured it last if she was going to make other drinks for other tables prior to bringing ours up. When we sat down she only had two guys at the bar and one table of 2 gentlemen. Both groups which seemed to have been mainly finished. We got our food and she didn’t stop by at all. I wanted a couple slices of lime to go with my tacos…we finished our meal and waited for her to bring the check. 20 minutes later, we already had our card for her to take. So we yelled “wait” after her and she said she’d be back. We waited another few minutes. I have a flight to catch, we can’t sit around any longer. So I went to pay up front and the girl took the check and my card and said to hold on. I couldn’t wait any longer. I just paid in cash. So upsetting. We were just trying to have a nice early birthday dinner prior to me leaving. The gentleman that seated us said “sorry” on our way out and I didn’t get a chance to tell him he didn’t have to apologize. It’s not on him, it’s not on the waitress entirely either, she just couldn’t handle the work load. After us she got seated a party of 7, I did feel bad for her. However, we did need to leave. By the end of it we had already waited 25 minutes for someone to cash us out. Waste of time and we left feeling upset about...
Read moreThe food here is Good but I spent 30.00 on Mexican food . Cheapest Food to make. And they want to charge 7.00 for chips and salsa. Penalty I guess for ordering my food to go.. I understand if maybe I order a taco and asked for a bag of chips and a gallon of salsa.. for that price.. Chips and salsa cost more than some lunch plates. Over what like 75 cents worth of corn tortilla chips and salsa.. My gosh u got 30 from me rice and beans are literally 10 cents a plate. C'mon management Greed ain't worth it !!! I thought my mother heard wrong when placing order. So when I went in I asked the girls nicely if they knew that guy taking orders is charging? And said yes management changed it up. Ok when COVID hit all restaurants had to do it to survive and stay open. I totally understand. And like all restaurants even though prices went lower then the covid spike they kept them prices up . Greed.... But c'mon average Mexican plate cost a couple bucks if that to make cause rice and beans are one of cheapest sides ever. So a dollar or two max for bag chips and salsa ok I guess . . But almost 7.00 SMH.. We the customers the ones who made you got your business successfull. Us the customers who give you free advertising by telling are friends and family. Us the customers who stuck with you through the covid crisis when every restaurant and businesses were fighting to stay alive and able to keep your employees. And you just want more and more from us . Gave you a chance today to make this story right. Even said this bothers us so much that they are going to lose us . Faithful Customers of yours since 2000's. And just said sorry sir. No I'm sorry. I had this place wrong . And then you got the audacity to ask us customers for a tip for pick up. We the customers save y'all money eating takeout. Less chips and salsa and everything else to run a restaurant. No waiting. We even walk in to get food. And yet for some reason us the customers pay the same normal price. And still ask for money for chips and salsa knowing 90 perfect of customers look at chips and salsa as part of there meal that day.And tip smh 😂... Seems like you're aware and...
Read moreEarlier this week my friend, my service animal and I stopped by Casa Garcias-Pflugerville for breakfast and as soon as we walked into the restaurant the host at the counter requested that I show him an ID for my service animal.
I continued to inform the host that service animal ID cards are not real (fake and often bought on amazon) nor are they legally required. He informed me that he was only doing his job by respecting restaurant policy on service animals; a policy that is fraudulent and illegal.
I asked to speak to a manager. The manager, Ruth, approached the counter and asked me what the problem was. I proceeded to inform her that being asked for a service animal ID and having an internal policy that says as much is not only illegal and hinders my right to an equitable experience but that federal law states that service animals have to be permitted in all areas that are open to customers.
Ruth, then proceeded to tell me that she is also to respect restaurant policy. I then shared that not only am I a service animal handler but that I am also an ADA coordinator and am fully knowledgeable on legal matters pertaining to my rights under the ADA.
Ruth, then held up a finger in my face to tell me to hush as she picked up the phone and proceeded to speak to someone completely ignoring my friend and I. I do not know who Ruth was on the phone with but as soon as she got off the phone she grabbed two restaurant menus and instructed us to follow her to be seated.
As we were walking to our table a thin, latino man wearing glasses and a hair net walked from behind the bar and approached my friend and I asking us to leave. I, again, informed them I had the right to be served and would be so. This man, whom I did not get the name of, repeatedly called me “aggressive” and told me and my “stupid dog” to “go home stupid jailbird.” I regret not getting the bartender’s name to put in my ADA complaint. Absolutely disgusting-illegal-fraudulent-emotionally harmful behavior. No accountability nor an apology was received by myself...
