Kato Sabi Sushi delivers one of the best sushi experiences in McAllen. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a modern, welcoming vibe that sets the tone as soon as you walk in. The food was absolutely spectacular — from the sushi rolls to the fried rice, everything tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor.

Their fried rice is hands down better than Kumori, Mori, or Umiya. It rivals the best hibachi-style rice I have had anywhere. The sushi was fresh with a great selection of sauces and toppings that made each bite stand out.

This restaurant has become a favorite for us. The place is fairly new but the food is delicious, the menu is great. To start you’re welcome to sit where you like, the staff is friendly and very attentive. You’ll have a delicious cup of miso soup and whatever you order from the menu is so good. This particular occasion the Chef Martin surprised us with new specialties rolls one is on the pic. Totally recommend it. Erick our waiter, was awesome recommending new food to try and wisely so we did and weren’t disappointed at all. You can come with friends, family and significant other cause the atmosphere is very nice, nice music and nice people. I can’t say enough good things about Katos.
