I walked into this restaurant, ran completely by a young African American all male crew, and was immediately greeted by a young man behind the cooking counter preparing food. Although they were busy, he took the time to greet me, making my presence known!! That was magnificent customer service!!! When the cashier came from the back, he immediately greeted me and asked me if I had been waited on!! Another A+!! I was there for a delivery service, and he proceeded to check on the order and notified me that they were completing the order and kept me informed step by step on the completion of the order. I was thoroughly impressed as I witnessed them carrying out out drive thru orders as they attempted to get all orders done, and they were so professional and courteous throughout my time spent there!! At the end of my order, they thanked me for my patience, and I wished them a good night . In unison, they all said, "You too ma'am!!! I walked away with a smile on my face because these young men were running a busy store on a weeknight seamlessly and with a wonderful personality!! Corporate, I hope you are proud of these gentlemen because they represent what this store needs!! I can promise you that I've been here for years, and this is the greatest experience I've had and I even called back to the store that night when my delivery shift was over to express my gratitude to this awesome group of exceptional...
Read moreIf you value good service and fresh food do not eat here. The young fella who took our order in the afternoon of 12/1/24 was sullen and unfriendly and acted like he would rather not take our order. He was not very helpful when we were trying to order our usual of a two piece country/southern style fish and we ended up ordering the wrong thing - We've never done that before and we have visited many Capt D's all over the place. We waited over 40 mins for our food while watching people come and go then we only got it when the young lady who was taking good care of the dining room went up to check on it for us. I suspect the young fella never put our order in at all. After all that wait the coleslaw was obviously rancid as it was foamy and sour from fermentation. Disgusting - I will say the shrimp and french fries I got were descent. I told the young lady in the dining room about the rotten coleslaw and she was not surprised as she said that a lot of people had complained of the same thing yet they were still serving it - ridiculous - Anyway - we still love a good Capt D's - we just will never return to this one! We've given this location enough chances and this is the first time...
Read moreI waited a few weeks to write this review because I was pretty offended and upset at the manager at the Phenix City, AL Location on 280. My son and I went in to eat an early dinner and in the middle of our meal a cockroach came out of the wall. We quickly lost our appetite at that point. I quietly asked for the manager. And I told him what had happened. He said, "Show me where" so I took him over to the booth that we were sitting at and told him, "The bug came out of there". He then said very sarcastically, "Funny, see that white stuff under there? THAT keeps the bugs away". I said, "Well sir, it's not working!" and I walked out. The girls who served us were very sweet and took very good care of us. The manager on the other hand was very rude. We won't be back. This was during the day. I could only imagine what crawls around that place at night! If I weren't so creeped out by those disgusting things I would have...
