B2 Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Service and Quality was pretty good up until the staff or management changed. Don't get me wrong, the service is there hence the 3 Stars, but the quality and consistency is off. I usually use their website to order and pick up and didn't know about the changes until I had to go place my order in person.

The first two visits I had requested #4 with Lox cream cheese but ended up with regular cream cheese. The following visits I had then broken it down how I wanted the bagel made instead of stating #4 with Lox. They got it right but my wife noticed something was different with the Lox cream cheese. We chalked it up as "it's probably one of those days".

The most recent visit, we had both order the same bagels with tomato, avocado, and lox. As well as the usual Chai. Love this neighborhood cafe! A good place for friends to gather, eat, caffeinate and gab! Lots of folks working on their laptops. Lovely owner and staff. Despite the comments about “hipster central”, my knitting group has several middle aged to elderly members who meet here regularly to eat, drink, KNIT, and socialize, and the staff are sooo friendly to us. We’ve passed up other places to meet here because of the wonderful staff and atmosphere of inclusivity. I have been a customer of b2 for years. While i am sure every small business owner is under stress in the pandemic, something has shifted in the last year at this coffee shop. On multiple occasions in recent weeks i have had negative experiences here. The owner and staff are rude to customers, act as though customers are a major inconvenience and couldn't be bothered with simple questions or orders. I will no longer be a customer here and i am happy to spend money at one of the multiple coffee shops...
