WARNING: Driver Scamming Credit Card Users!
Yesterday evening my boyfriend and I ordered from Big Daddy for the first time. We were very excited based off of the endless possibilities of the menu. We finally ordered on the phone for delivery and charged it to my card.
About thirty minutes later the driver came. The driver said the amount that was owed and we explained that we had charged it. He insisted that we did not since he didn't have the paperwork and he wouldn't leave until we gave him cash. We explained we didn't have cash, that's why we charged it, and it should have been charged before he even got here. He argued with us endlessly until my boyfriend decided to call Big Daddy to resolve this.
As soon as he started to dial, the driver dropped the food and said that we didn't need to pay and we didn't have to call. Meanwhile, the cashier told my boyfriend that it did get charged and for whatever reason the driver, just for our order, didn't pick up the receipt showing this. I signed a piece of paper, gave it to the driver, and he still was trying to get money from us. We just took our food and closed the door.
Based on the interaction above solely with the driver and communication with the cashier who handled our order, it is safe to say that the driver is trying to scam people and unfortunately we will not order from Big Daddy again.
Food Wise: I had a salad, which was okay, and our sweet potato fries, that I was very excited about, were cold. My boyfriend enjoyed his wings and...
Read moreWhen they first became Big Daddy's (they were formerly Ray's), they were great. Consistent and delicious. We loved the pizza. Wings were great, as well. In the early summer I had ordered a small greek pizza and that was so good, I nearly ate the whole thing myself!! I even took a few menus into work and we started ordering from there. One of my co-workers ordered the Shrimp Scampi Ravioli. It smelled and looked delicious. I made a mental note to get it for myself at a later date after my co-worker let me try one. It was SOOOO good. Shrimp, garlic, cheese, all stuffed into a ravioli. When I finally ordered it for myself at home, it was nothing like what I had at work. It was regular ricotta cheese filled raviolis with 5 pieces of fried shrimp, swimming in oil and garlic. GROSS!!! They have since become inconsistent with their quality. Even the pizza crust has changed. We would seriously order from here maybe 2-3 times a week at home and almost every day at work (not all the co-workers, but a handful would place orders). The pizza dough and crust taste watered down. Their salads really stink, too. I still love their wings and appetizers. The eggplant fries and sweet potato fries are awesome! I won't stop ordering from here, but at least I know what to stick to!
As far as delivery goes, I never had an issue. We live a good 5 minutes away and don't always pick up and they're always delivering...
Read moreI just received my order from Big Daddy's Pizza and I am deeply dissatisfied. I ordered the 3 hoagies special. I clearly placed my order with the lady answering the phones what I wanted and add a bag of chips. I stated, "I'll take my hoagies with everything on it, except onions." If she didn't understand what that meant, then she should've asked me to clarify. I never had a pizzeria or sandwich shops not understand the terminology that has been used in these particular places.
The driver arrived at a great time so kudos to him. My chips were not in the bag and my sandwiches were dry and I could have made them better at home. I had meat, few pieces of shredded lettuce, too many green peppers(not sweet peppers as requested), tomatoes sliced in two. Nothing else. I would have liked my money back but instead I will never order from here again. Last time they gave me a horrendous salad full of lettuce and croutons.
Advice to this business: people are choosing your restaurant for quality food. They are spending money for food they enjoy. Please put some care into what you are doing; chefs, counter reps, servers, drivers, etc.. I called to tell the lady what took place and she was careless. I hope this business improve because you're serving the neighborhood and now I have to...
