The food is okay but the service is horrendous. I was part of a group reservation of roughly 15 people for a friends birthday dinner. We had already pre-ordered our individual meals days in advance. I preordered lamb chops. Young waitress comes to our table and asks what we want for our drinks. The young lady with me ask for a juice, and I asked for a glass of water. Twenty minutes later she comes out with the young lady’s drink, but no glass of water. No, I waited 20 more minutes for my glass of water. Then it’s time for the food to come out. literally everyone’s food except mine came out. My table didnt want to be rude and start eating when I didn’t have my food so they waited another 30 minutes. They brought a plate out, but it Was a completely different plate for a guy who didnt even show up . They just had a hot plate sitting on the table getting cold. Now a male waitress comes out and asks the young ladies about their plates. One of them points out that I still didn’t get my food and literally everyone else is eating their food. This guy simply says ”yeah I know” then walked away. 20 more minutes go by and a woman named Rumi comes by. I tell her I haven’t received my order of lamb chops. She goes in the back to come back out and tell me that they didn’t know I ordered. What a coincidence? To compensate she offered a free Pepsi that was flatter than Taylor Swift. The lamb chops were ok (not the rice, not the thing that o guess they thought was a salad, just the chops) so I was going to let it slide. then bill time comes around . I tell the birthday girl that I will pay her via cashapp for my and my dates meal. She says no; go to the cash register and pay them directly. Me and the young lady go up to the cash register and Rumi is there. I try to pay. Rumi refuses and says that she will not split the bill bc the bill is too long. She says that birthday girl will pay and we all must pay her. I say ok we’ll do that, then Rumi made some corny jokes about how the next time I come she will give me another free Pepsi . whatever Rumi. we leave, as I am expecting now a cashapp request from birthday girl. Turns out Rumi went to tell birthday girl that my date and I simply walked out without paying, COMPLETELY leaving out the entire conversation she and I had about how the bill would be paid. Birthday girl gets hit with a big bill that she can’t leave the restaurant without paying . Now I look like the jerk because Rumi LIED. After such piss poor service from every person on that staff you would think honesty would at least be a policy. Here’s a tip. Order all of your meals to go. Don’t rely on the staff , and if even one thing seems off, take it out...
Read moreThis place is super unique and I appreciate the mix of culture that it brings to the area. The interior looks cute and overwhelmingly pink, I love it! The owner is super nice and helpful but unfortunately, the service is severely lacking. The man server that I’ve gotten for every visit I’ve had here is probably one of the worst servers I’ve encountered. He was the host that sat down my party of 5 and didn’t come back for around 20 minutes to ask if we wanted drinks. Gave us room temp water in a clear cup, asked for ice water and he didn’t come back for another 10 minutes and he forgot the water. He also forgot my arabic tea as it came out lukewarm and I asked for sugar, he didn’t come back with that either. Thai tea was super watered down and the balls were hard. Pani puri and fuska came after our dinner items when we were no longer hungry and we asked where it was twice and he said he would go check, guess what? He forgot. The owner came around to check on us and we told her we were missing items and she immediately went to check and the appetizers finally arrived. Same thing with our drinks, told her that our drinks were missing and she came right back with them. Chicken laab wings + papaya salad is the perfect combo. Crispy wings with some sweetness paired with the fresh and spicy papaya salad, can’t beat it. Basil salmon was VERY overcooked and the brussel sprouts tasted bitter. Chicken pad thai was cooked nicely with a fried egg on top. I like how the spice builds up after each bite. The malaysian string beans with shrimp was salty but the flavor was saving the dish. So sad that the rice was hard and not as soft as I’d like it to be. As much as I want to support this place, the service has ruined it for...
Read moreTurkey Berry boasts a beautifully designed interior, setting a promising tone for a delightful dining experience. The decor is certainly one of its highlights, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
The mocktails and soft drinks were a standout feature, with an outstanding selection that was both refreshing and creatively executed. This part of the menu truly shone, offering a variety of flavors that were well appreciated.
The service was a mixed bag. While our server, Nadia, was exceptionally kind and apologetic, the wait time for our order was an astonishing two hours. Despite her regular apologies every half hour, this long wait significantly marred our experience. It's clear that Nadia did her best under the circumstances, but the management of order times needs serious attention.
Unfortunately, due to the extended wait and the uncomfortably cold temperature in the restaurant, we did not get to enjoy our food. We lost our appetite waiting, which is a pity as we were there to support this newly opened Halal restaurant.
The initial allure of Turkey Berry was quickly overshadowed by operational inefficiencies. While the ambiance and drinks were commendable, the excessively long wait time for food, combined with the chilly environment, left us disappointed. I had high hopes for supporting a new Halal establishment, but this experience has left me hesitant to return.
Turkey Berry has potential with its aesthetic appeal and innovative drink menu, but it needs to address its service speed and temperature control to ensure customer satisfaction. I would recommend potential visitors to consider these factors before making plans...
