Sadly I moved away a little over a year ago, but I still use ARS as the standard for a small craft brewery. This place is simply perfection. Everything about it. The staff, the location, the art, the atmosphere. I miss coming here with my wife every week. I miss celebrating our milestones, I miss seeing our friends, I miss talking with the bartenders and staff, I miss making new friends with others that share my love for the brewery, I miss ordering to-go cans every week during the pandemic and tipping extra to help support them, I miss Ramble Pizza, and most of all - I miss the amazing beers. Literally every single beer. Over a four-year period I had to have tried at least 30 or 40 different ARS beers. It is almost mathematically impossible to have that many and not find a single one that wasn't good. It's just astounding how consistent they are. I miss it so much and I can't wait to come back and order several cases to take...

For a new/ young brewery, the ARS brothers are turning out some very tasty beer. Definitely leaning more toward the bitter side of the spectrum which is OK by my palette, but that could just be their early offerings. A little bit more variety in that department would have pleased my company. That being said, I applaud the hop-forward approach but not when it sacrifices depth of flavor. ARS strikes a nice balance. Philly was in need of another quality brewery within city limits, and in the early goings ARS exceeds expectations. It's a cool, no frills space in an established S. Philly neighborhood....

Brewery ARS is a small, quaint brewery on Passyunk with some phenomenal beer. We parked a few blocks away on our first visit, and we were a little surprised by the location and inconspicuous facade. However, the beers do not disappoint. They truly crush the hazy, juicy IPA trend, and add a little originality without a heap of fruit or sweetness.

They seating area is small and it’s truly no frills; no music or tall stack of games. They are dog friendly, and offer the occasional food truck and a small menu of snacks. Highly recommend for true...

This a awesome place to drink, friendly service & owner. Best brewery place that I ever been out of all the others that I try out. I don’t usually like coffee but chirico will do. Not a strong taste, just right. Late in posting this but better than not doing so. Go check it out. Will stop by when I have time. Food truck life is really hard but after having a few drink. Make it worth it for the long day. From QT Vietnamese Sandwich Truck. Then again I would love to go back but we are book for the season. Love park & Penn Landing.

Creative beers, and good ones for a year in biz: Garage Saison has a nice burst of acidity. Smoke shines in the Street Corn - esp on the nose. Todas las Limas is self explanatory; it will please the beer skeptics or Corona-lovers. Staff is friendly and there's a pizza truck Thurs. Plus, South Philly, nuff said.
