Caribbean Palm — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Wanted so bad to like this place. Called in my order, one platter of ox tail and another with fish. Get there and the food is not ready, that’s ok they like to make it fresh once you get there. I was fine with that. Then they tell me they don’t have enough ox tail to make a platter and they can mix it together with something else but still charge me the most expensive price of a full ox tail platter. Smh how do I get charged full price for a platter you can’t for fill. The manager didn’t answer the phone to help resolve the issue. Then the person at the store sounds like she is whispering and is so hard to hear her. And The person who takes the orders over the phone is not the same person working at the counter. It’s just a mess for a simple fix. I just wanted to try something different guess I’m going to try Ron's Caribbean Cafe hopefully they have there...

This is a hole in the wall establishment. No frills, respectable sign. No art on the wall. It barely looks like a restaurant. This is the only reason for the 4 stars . It is strictly take out only. The food on the other hand is delicious. Well prepared and fast. I recommend getting a small platter because the large is really a lot of food. I got a small and I was cool. They can make mac and cheese too. This is important because you can't be eating everybody's mac. Perfectly casserole! Not oozing , the way it should be made. If your around , I reccomend this spot just do not be alarmed that all you see is a counter. They do serve good food...

The food was great, hot, fresh and oh so delicious. Oxtails were seasoned and cooked all so tenderly. The rice and peas, mac/cheese, yams and cabbage were on point. That's even with preferring my mac/cheese to be a little cheesier. The customer service is also great.
