Champagnes21 — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I will not return to Champagne Lounge for many reasons number one reason the bartender and their customer service absolutely suck number to the bars were not fully stopped and it was a big inconvenience having to move from where I was comfortably sitting at to keep walking over to a whole nother bar and another location within the establishment to get my preferred drink I would at least thought the barmaid would have went and got what was missing from the bar that we were sitting at instead she told us to go to the other bar and get our own drinks. The other reason why I will not return to this establishment is because the food absolutely sucked the shrimps are not colossal they are very small in size and absolutely had no flavor and no seasoning. I told the bartender that they gave me two sides of broccoli instead of macaroni and cheese and broccoli. The broccoli taste like they microwaved it for 2 seconds it had no seasoning no garlic no butter it was just as dry as ever I stayed it to the barmaid I do not want the sides they taste horrible I ate the little mini shrimps because I was hungry but I will not eat nothing else from there I said I'll pay for the many shrimps because I ate them but I'm not paying for decides because they taste nasty and I'm not going to eat it. Well the bartender argue me down argue me down to the point where is though I just said the hell with it I paid for a platter that I didn't even eat and she sucked her teeth and turned around as if I was getting on her nerves so yes Champagnes thanks to that bartender in your back bar I will not be returning and you will not be getting any more of my money and she didn't try to rectify any of the issues of the establishment during my visit there....

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT: DIRTY & MICE

We came to this establishment for an event. From the onset, the service was incredibly slow. The lines of the communication between the servers and the kitchen staff were non-existent. The kitchen staff filled orders when they felt like it. There were several workers in the kitchen not wearing gloves and handling food. I even witnessed them re-frying chicken that had been sitting. However, the WORST part was the two mice the entire party seen running around going in and out of the kitchen. One the mice even had a big piece of lettuce that was dropped when one of the cooks were making burgers. Needless to say, I left and did't eat any of the food (THANK GOD). I am a fan of supporting black owned businesses but there is a right and wrong way to conduct business. Having vermin inside of the restaurant (especially in the kitchen), is...

Champagne is my spot! They saying goes "There's always a party at Champagne" and it most certainly feels like it. You can walk in on any random weekend and someone is having a birthday party or it seems like someone is having one. Pre-COVID, I would get the crab burger (to die for! So simple, so good!) and the shrimp.

I recently went there for an order of a dozen fried shrimp. I was very disappointed. I'm not a tough critic, but I'm a shrimp lover and messing them up is not something I can be cool with because they are so simple to make. Either they forgot about my shrimp in the fryer or they were frozen, breaded shrimp. Either way, I was unimpressed. I will still go there for the atmosphere and to try the crab burger. I hope that menu item didn't fall victim to post-COVID...
