I've been to many Philly pizza places over the yrs, this is one of the only places that taste JUST LIKE the NYC pizza I loved to eat during college. For reference, Paulie Gee and a few other Philly pizza places are great too, but they are not within walking distance of UC, are more expensive, or go overboard with sauces/toppings where it becomes soggy and there's no "bread" taste anymore. Real pizza lovers that eat it weekly will know what I'm talking about, there's gotta be a healthy balance and crispness without getting too dry or soggy. To put it another way: it's like Miller's Twist vs Center City Pretzel Co, 2 of the best Philly pretzel places but they appeal to different tastes, ingriedents, location/convenience, and pricing. Or like Unit Su Vege vs Ba Le Bakery vs QT Vietnamese sandwich. Oh and the main chef in charge of the pizza recipes seemed like a rly down to earth dude. He mentioned intentionally sourcing the flour and other fresh ingredients locally.

Great pizza! Grabbed a 6 pack and a large pepperoni pie took the left overs home — they do not skimp on pep. The people are super friendly and got to watch a movie while I was in there. My brother recommended the place, told me he went opening night and had a cesar that was “alright” (on the house) cause they were still training cooks/workers. It really seems like they have it together now.

Cheesteaks are quality meat on a nice seeded roll. Well done ! Wings are nice and crispy but size I would describe as "medium". Not too small but not too large. Their pizza has a crisp texture but dough could be seasoned a little better imo. Onion rings are great- nice and crispy ! Staff and owner are all really nice guys

Carters Pizza and Beer is a hidden gem in the heart of Philadelphia, serving up some of the most delicious and authentic pizza in the city. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. Lucie was there to greet us and show what's this place is all about.

I recently had the pleasure of trying their signature pizza, and it was absolutely incredible. The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy, the sauce was tangy and flavorful, and the cheese was melted to perfection. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, and the overall flavor combination was simply divine. In addition to their amazing pizza, Carters also has a great selection of craft beers on tap, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a cold one with friends. They also offer a variety of appetizers and alcohol, so there's something for everyone on the menu. I highly recommend checking out Carters Pizza and Beer if you're ever in the Philadelphia area. You won't be disappointed! Here are some additional things I loved about Carters: The friendly and attentive staff The cozy and inviting atmosphere The great selection of craft beers The delicious and affordable food The convenient location If you're looking for a great place to eat in Philadelphia, I highly recommend Carters Pizza and Beer. You won't be...

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a mini party with a group of friends at Carters, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time.

The pizza was out of this world! Every bite was packed with flavor, with a perfect balance of crispy crust, fresh toppings, and gooey cheese. We tried a variety of options, and each one was more delicious than the last. Their chicken wings were equally impressive – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It was impossible to pick a favorite!

To top it all off, we were even surprised with some complimentary food, which was a really nice touch and made the evening feel even more special. The service was quick, attentive, and friendly, making our party stress-free and enjoyable.

Overall, Carters Pizza and Beer is a gem of a place, perfect for gatherings with friends or family. Great food, fantastic staff, and a cozy, friendly environment – we will definitely be...
