I went to Cosmi's at the recommendation of a co worker who used to live in Philly. She said it was a small hole in the wall with the best non greasy cheese steaks in Philly. So I went with my wife and two kids and noticed that it is indeed a small hole in the wall, with an emphasis on small. They had two card tables, one sat four and the other two, small folding chairs that came with the card tables most likely. Cosmi's is a convenience store with a deli of hot and cold foods. My wife and I got the cheese steaks and my kids a hot dog, we also got fries. The cheese steaks are the best I've had, nice and juicy meat, cheese melted evenly throughout, nice crisp bread. The hotdogs were also quite good, all beef. Fries were better than I expected, nothing great, but better than your typical takeout. So, obviously, this place isn't fancy, and it's not a comfortable to eat in. But it still has its small neighborhood charm, just listening to the locals come in and talk while they wait for their orders is fun to hear everything going on. But ultimately, you come here for the cheese steaks (or based on the crowd, many of their other choices), and you will not be disappointed. To top it off, while you were here and lucky enough to find a spot to park, walk a block to the Termini Brothers Bakery...

The establishment was issued a Cease Operations Order and was required to discontinue food operations immediately. The establishment could not operate for a minimum of 48 hours....
