Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I had such a wonderful experience with the Dairy Queen on Grant Avenue, thanks to Stephanie! I was placing an online delivery order for my daughter, who has celiac disease and can’t eat gluten. Unfortunately, the delivery app didn’t have a way to select gluten-free options, even though I know this location offers gluten-free Oreos and is very careful about cross-contamination.

I called the store to see if there was a way to make this work, and Stephanie was so kind and accommodating. She took the time to reassure me that she would thoroughly clean the Blizzard machine and make sure to use the gluten-free Oreos for my daughter’s treat. Her understanding of celiac disease and her willingness to go the extra mile meant so much to me as a parent.

Thank you, Stephanie (and Doug, too!), for your incredible service. It’s such a relief to know there’s a Dairy Queen we can trust for safe and delicious gluten-free ice cream treats....

So after a nice family dinner my wife and my little niece wanted ice cream so naturally it was DQ. I take everyone (wife, niece, nephew, sister in law, future brother in law and myself) to Dairy Queen for dessert. The order totals $ 39.98. The 4 year old niece did not want to eat her Blizzard, she wanted the ice cream in a cone. My sister in law walks up to the counter and asks for a small cone and the man behind the counters says it will cost $0.45 cents. My sister in law comes back to the table. I walked up to the counter and paid for the cone. What I find hard to believe is that i just spent almost $ 40.00 in one quick order and you could not accommodate a $0.45 cent cone? I feel this is poor customer relations. I do not mind paying for anything but it was a Blizzard that cost almost $4. A cone couldn't have been given? She ate none of it. They lost 5 customer forever. The place is close to home. The shop is small and very clean. The desk is attended by a very young crew, I really enjoyed their attention. The crew was respectful, very courteous, and fast getting the orders in and out. That day, My wife and I and three youngsters grandkids enter the shop at about 7pm, the shop was empty, we placed our order, five minutes later the place was packed.
