When you’re not familiar with a cuisine, most people will look at pictures for reference. The photos they have on the online menu are deceiving from what they actually serve. They use photos from google. I ordered the kerala fish curry and my gf ordered the chicken methi malai. After we ordered, the wait wasn't too long but when the food came out, right away I noticed how small the portion size was and how it didn't look like the photos. In fact most of dishes didn't look like the photos. I sent one of the dishes back which was the “Mysora Dosa” because that's not what it looked like on their menu.. the picture showed thick fluffy pancakes almost and what we got was like a thin crepe. The fish curry doesn’t taste like curry, it taste like straight up spice (I'd like to mention in my culture we are no strangers to a lot of spice). The taste was overbearing like strong black pepper, cardamom, and cumin spice. Might as well eat a spoonful of those spices! I had to mix in the chicken methi malai in the “fish curry” to try to salvage the dish. The chicken was very salty, if you have high bp don't go, seriously. I will say the server was very nice, she was by herself serving and new. She was accommodating and saw my concern. The mango lassi and garlic naan were good. We weren’t a big fan of the mango chutney and the gulab jamun dessert. Overall, food really was too salty, there's no love in it. Feels like it was just thrown together. The chef should try to taste his food before serving. For the serving size and taste, the food was way over priced.

Two stars because I think if you dine in, it’s better . I’ve only dined there one time and I had better experience. The food quality was better too than getting take out. All the other times I would take out. So this 2 star is based off of take out. I’ve been ordering from them many times. They’ve let me down couple times but this one… this was the last straw. For this reason, I will no longer come to this place and order from them. And for this reason, I hope they see this and try to improve. I ordered vegetable biriyani and it was so greasy (oil was all over the bottom of the bag when I got it and I had to squeeze excess oil into another plate) that it messed with my stomach. I think I have a picture so if I find it I will update later but I’m not going to go out of my way to find it. I let it go. Did not come here for months. Decided to try again, and I ordered chicken methi malai. I will let the picture speak for itself. $18.99 and this is what I got. The photos on the website is NOTHING like the food I get when I place an order . It’s misleading. And for what I got for that price is just ludicrous. I asked them to make it spicy and they just added chili oil and made the whole thing even more greasy. Little 3-5 pieces of meat. I had to order beef kabob next door (the chinese restaurant ) because it wasn’t enough meat for me. There is no love in these food. Simply disappointed. 😕 please do better.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Mayura Indian Restaurant offers a delightful exploration of authentic Indian cuisine. With its vibrant ambiance and a menu that promises a culinary journey through India. Ambiance: Mayura welcomes diners with a warm and inviting atmosphere, characterized by traditional Indian decor. The colorful artwork and soft classical music complement the dining experience, creating a relaxing environment. Food: The menu at Mayura is extensive, featuring a range of dishes from various regions of India. Vegetarians will appreciate the "Vegetable Pakora". Each dish is served with a generous portion of basmati rice, freshly baked naan, and a side of tangy raita. Service: The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, eager to explain the dishes and assist with recommendations. Their promptness adds to the pleasant dining experience, ensuring that every need is met with a smile. Value: The prices at Mayura are reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It offers good value for money, making it an ideal spot for casual dining as well as special occasions. Improvements: The service was notably slow, even though the restaurant was not busy. "Non Veg Tandoori platter was so dry".

Went here for the first time yesterday and was not necessarily disappointed but wasn’t blown away.

Place was pretty empty (maybe 2 other tables entire time we were there). Staff seated us quickly, however as quickly we were seated we were forgotten. About 10 minutes after being seated we were able to get their attention to take our order.

We ordered the Samosa which was good with the sauces, however I’ll break down my review for the rest ordered: two different naan and a paneer tikka masala and aloo gobi.

Naan: I am guessing they used dry seasonings as both breads lacked that pop of flavor, while the rosemary was abundant with cut up rosemary, you can tell it wasn’t fresh rosemary as the taste was very faint. We ordered the peshwari naan, this has been our favorite at many restaurants and while it didn’t taste bad, it was mediocre at best. We could see the raisins and occasionally feel that we ate a piece of coconut but neither had any flavor. My guess is that the ingredients were old and been around a while as when things get older they have less and less flavor.

Paneer Tikka Masala - this was the best dish of the night, it was served with plenty of sauce which helped make the bland naan somewhat more enjoyable to eat.

Aloo Gobi- while the dish had plenty of sauce it lacked seasoning and flavor. Just a bland disappointment.

The place been under new management for a few months, and it’s time to take down the paper signs reflecting as such.

The restaurant had an overall pleasant atmosphere, but could use touching up.

My finally thoughts: If you want Indian food just for the sake of having Indian food sure this may do, but nothing about my visit said we want you to...
