Hello Google Reviews,
Normally I rarely write reviews for businesses and most of the time I do its when they go above and beyond and provide 5 star service that should be publicly recognized. Today the Audi on Krewstown gets a well deserved negative review.
For years especially before the pandemic hit, we used to travel further to this store versus the one in Cottman Avenue due to its slightly better customer service and shorter wait periods of being in line. However today, when shopping with my senior citizen mother who has a hard time walking due to arthritis, we found a completely new change of staff that belittles the customer experience and takes no responsibility to doing things right versus the staff that was just there only 2 weeks ago. I don't why this change of staff was necessary but it is absolutely deplorable.
The majority of the staff here now rudely cuts in front of customers to stock selves, leave hand trucks in the way of shoppers and block isles, and do not make efforts to respond to questions like they used to do. I remember it was only weeks ago that the people there would go above and beyond to help people find things but that is not the case anymore. Even a lot of the produce in the store looks old and aged, the bananas especially are always now brown and with black marks. Where is the Audi quality anymore in this store???
What drove me to mostly write up this review was the cashier who checked us out. He falsely claimed there was a limit in the 95 cent apple juice to half a case or only 3 per customer... but the circular nor signs in the store support this. To tell my mother who is a 75 year old senior that she needed to place those bottles back while there is a long line of people waiting without offering any help is a major disrespect that should not be ignored. Luckily I was there to help return the bottles quickly and I did not want to make a scene in the store. Still, this is unacceptable and again needs to be addressed publicly.
We are at a point that hiring in demand is being made and yet businesses claim there are not enough quality people looking for work. However in rebuke your staff is a reflection on the values of the management and if that store no longer cares about quality and emphasizes proper training of people over quantity, and is just looking to toss bodies in place, then the franchise owner of that store should be ashamed he/she allowed this to happen. Either way its quite clear to me that I will rather shop the longer lines of the Audi closer to my home than deal with this terrible business behavior. Krewstown... as you can see you EARNED your 1 star review. I will delete this when the staff and its management changes their ways and respects their shoppers as human beings rather...

Iāve had repeated issues with ALDI products, most recently with the Lunch Mate Oven Roasted Turkey Breast (Family Size). Despite being well within the use-by date and properly stored in my refrigerator, I opened a sealed pouch and found mold inside. Even worse, I had already eaten some of it before discovering the mold.
This isnāt the first time Iāve purchased food from ALDI that went bad prematurely. Iām also noticing a bigger issue with how refrigerated items are handled in the store. Iāve seen customers leaving cold items on regular shelves instead of returning them to coolers, and it doesnāt seem like staff are monitoring or correcting this. That could easily compromise food safety before the product even makes it to a cart.
If you shop later in the day, be prepared for disappointment. By the afternoon, many shelves are completely empty, and the selection is poor. The produce section is especially concerning ā Iāve seen fruit thatās moldy and clearly past its prime. Even worse, I often notice cold items left at the register or abandoned around the store. It makes me wonder if employees are just putting them back in the fridge to resell instead of disposing of them. This is a serious food safety concern and needs to be addressed immediately.
Between the quality issues and lack of in-store oversight, Iām seriously questioning whether itās safe to continue buying perishable items from ALDI. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously.
Not sure what has happened, but ever since they rearranged the aisles this store has been a mess. Shelves are often empty, common refrigerated items are not stocked, and the frozen section isnāt even frozen at times, with thawed products left out. Maybe thereās new management, but itās not for the better. Iāve been coming here for 8 years, and itās sad to see how far it has gone downhill.
Update: I only shop here for dry goods nowānothing refrigerated. Iāve noticed carts full of refrigerated foods just sitting in the aisles with no employees around. Itās clear that cold foods are not being handled properly, and thatās a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my neighborhood Aldi's and I come in here with my kiddos almost every day- literally, all the employees know me & my kids and some who have been there for a few years have literally watched both my son and daughter grow up (they are 3y/o and 1y/o). Anyway, my point is that the staff here is top-notch and if you come in often enough, you will get that small business treatment but with the low prices that a large corporate store can offer. Besides that, the store is always clean and well stocked, bathrooms are clean, plenty of parking available. My only gripe with Aldi is that they will have a product that I or my severely picky-eater-son like but it becomes a "Special Buy" product that once they sell out their stock they will not have it again! Aldi needs to stop teasing and messing with...
