Daly's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I’ve only been to this place twice and the first time I came it was cool. The atmosphere was lively and full of music. The barmaids were nice as well. The second time I went while the Eagles were in the playoffs, my experience wasn’t that great. The barmaid was very 😒. We came in thinking it would be hype inside because The Eagles were playing and they’d have the big screens on. But I was sadly mistaken lol. They had these little ass tvs on that you could barely see from. I asked, why don’t you have the bigger screens on? She replied that they are waiting for more people to arrive. There were people inside already, but I guess we didn’t deserve to watch on the bigger screen. Anyway, I ordered wings, and they were really good as usual. My sister was already there and had already ordered. She had her drinks on the bar. So, I noticed this bug flying around inside the bar. My sister is about to take a sip of her drink and lo and behold, the bug is in her drink. My sister said to the waitress, there seems to be something in my drink. The waitress said, ok, and did nothing. So, the waitress is asking her if she wants more drinks. My sister said, are you giving me another drink or giving me some money off for the one with something in it? The waitress said, not for this drink, but when you come back again, I’ll give you a discount. That’s stupid if you ask me. So, after that, we decided to close out our tab, and leave. Also, the way they charge you up is not cool. I didn’t know this, but it’s best to, do your drinks and your meal separately. Don’t pay together, unless you don’t mind the over charging. I...

Stopped in to watch the eagles game on Sunday. Asked if there were any drink specials, bartender said no. She then hands me the drink and beer menu that listed drink specials on the back...um ok. Ordered my usual long Island iced tea. Decided to order wings, noticed they had honey hot...they were more hot then honey burnt the devil out of my mouth. Now the bartenders that came in towards halftime were not as attentive as the first set of bartenders. They have a register right in front of the big screen projection so they are literally right in your face and never asked if I wanted another drink..cup empty and all..I had to ask for another drink after about the fifth time of them coming to the register..it wasn't super busy they just weren't paying attention..I guess since the register is right in people's faces they don't want to look up..idk but it's a strange place for a register..it also blocks the view everytime they use it..should be lower so they don't have to use their tippy toes to see the screen. I don't remember that being there before. All in all...

It wasn't great. The vibe seemed like it's probably a good ass time on the right days, but the chicken was not delicious and it was expensive.

The wings were nice and crispy, so I was HYPE to eat them, but they had that stale taste of microwave reheated chicken, so I was confused.

(Also, they were hot as hell. I usually get a mix of hot honey and garlic Parm at Reale's but we decided to try somewhere new, so I ordered a mix of garlic and hot honey. I couldn't eat it. They were so fking hot ... Even after scraping off as much of the red pepper flakes as I could, they had my lips, tongue and the back of my throat on fire just from licking my finger. 😫 I'm not mad at the heat, tho, just at that microwave flavor.)

I gave them to my bf and took his sweet chili wings. Those were so sweet I couldn't eat them. The cheese fries were good tho.

We had the $5 mango beer that's advertised on the banner outside and that was good.
