Ernie's Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

In 25 years of working restaurant delivery and management for various establishments in Northeast Philadelphia I have never seen such deplorable Service as was delivered to my house tonight. A cheese Hoagie order chips and Fries were ordered for delivery. The order took approximately 90 minutes to deliver. While I was still a Friday night and some weather-related issues could affect delivery times the end result was the French fries were cold upon delivery. My wife refuse them they were returned to the restaurant. She called the restaurant and was told she would be credited a free order of fries in the future. She was not refunded her order at all but was told that she could use the credit of the return fries on a future order.

I called Ernie's to be told that the only options available were to refund the order have a new set of fries sent back out or a credit to be issued for a future order. I said where is the accommodation for the inconvenience with that? 90 minute late deliveries should have something coming back to the customer whether it's free food or refunded order and then something extra added as a matter of apology for the extremely late delivery time. I was told that's all we are going to do pretty much take it or leave it

Again I have worked this business in for over 25 years of my life and I've never seen service of this nature given to a customer before. I would highly recommend that you never order a delivery knowing that your solution for an inconvenience will be to get nothing in return except where to spend the money that was already spent. A putrid example of how to handle customer service...

I usually go to Ernies when I’m in the area. Today was a completely horrible experience. Those two girls at the front desk have no social skills what do ever. I asked the smaller one after waiting for 20 minutes if she knew when my chicken cheesesteak would be ready…. This chick say” When it comes off the grill, it will be done”….. it took everything in me to contain myself. The man making the pizzas which I believe is the owner stepped in at the right time and was nice and friendly.. had it not been for him, I would have canceled my order. I don’t patronize establishment for rude woman who are the first people you see when you walk in. If you don’t want to be at work, go Home!!.. the heavier one is just unhappy.. she answered the phone with eye rolling and just horrible phone skills… today really put a bad taste in my mouth. I have been going to Earnies since I was in high school because the food and the service has been good. The past few time I have gone these young’s have no customer...

We absolutely enjoy Ernie’s and look forward to being able to get food from them. My personal favorites are their white pizza and tuna salad. It was a slight let down when my wife called in our order due to COVID-19 and when we got it home it was not what we ordered. We live in Jenkintown and it would be really difficult to return and correct the order. I ordered a large tuna salad and instead got a large salad. The check listed the tuna salad. I enjoy Ernie’s so much that after a particularly hard day I was really looking forward to the tuna salad. Still I highly recommend Ernie’s and will definitely return this time we will check our order. I remember Ernie’s from when we lived In the Northeast and our children attended Northeast High School. Their pizza is simply the best. Two weeks ago needed to go to Jeans Hospital and stopped at Ernie’s on way home for white pizza it is just delicious. My wife enjoyed her tuna hoagie and my daughter her Caesar salad, they described them...
