Happy Garden — Restaurant in Philadelphia

It used to be one of my favorite Chinese take out place 5-6 years ago when I lived in the area. Now I came back for a day and thought would order, was excited... Ordered “Bourbon Chicken”, absolutely terrible, some place sits not that good but what I got here is disaster... not even close to the fish is suppose to be, I could love with that, but what I got here just tastes bad... maybe chicken is old and that’s why cook dumped bunch of sauce. Tastes funny and will go to trash will eat rice. I called to make sure it’s old owners and it is, was given a reason that her daughter might of cooked it wrong, but was not offered replacement, they were polite on the phone. Sad Friday evening when you favorite place...

I swear this is the third time this place messed my order up. I ordered Singapore noodles with shrimp and i got Singapore noodles with shrimp beef and pork.. WOW... in total I ordered 3 dishes and all of them were suppose to be spicy... guess what none were spicy and bland as anything... i dont get why theae chinese places are so cheap about using spicy crushed pepper oil mix... its rediculuous how they are penny pintching on something so simple and yet expect ppl to spend money in this place. Three stires your out... this is local spot for me and i will make sure i tell my friends and neighbors not go to this place. I wish i could give...

It's a dirty place. Lunch special does not come with a egg roll. They need to try to control this fly infestation a lot better. The egg roll is very important. I usually get that at other Chinese takeout. I gave them good service ratings because they didn't look at me like I was the enemy. I gave them poor atmosphere rating because the place is dirty. The food got three stars because it was lacking the egg roll although they gave me a generous portion of meat it was too sweet and I am familiar with this dish so I know what it taste like. I do not recommend this place I most likely...
