Independent Prime is a different dining experience, that may end up being the future of eating out. What I mean by that is this, everything you order is through a iPad (large menu). If your not familiar with using one, it's nothing to worry about. (Non intimating) It's set up very simple and and straight forward. Payment is credit card only, but when it comes to the tip, you can leave a electronic one or cash. Alot of the food is cooked up front on an open grill behind their huge bar. The food came out pretty fast and was hot. I ordered the Philly cheese steak. The bread was nice and soft, and the meat and cheese was very good. It came with a side of fries. My wife ordered the fish and chips and a side of onion rings. The fish was good, but it had way to much breading on it. The onion rings was the real deal. My kids ordered the burger which also came with fries. The burger was huge and it was so good they ate the whole thing. The waiters was very helpful and friendly. As always the prices is high, but it's nothing new for a restaurant inside the airport. This place is a good place if your looking for a good meal.

Full disclosure, the only reason I ate here was because I was in the airport, and they were playing the football game I wanted to watch. I wasn't expecting anything outstanding, but I was surprised. The modern, electronic, and impersonal ordering system didn't deter the waitress from giving me decent service, which included refilling my water...not something I typically experience during airport layovers. The food was also super tasty! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a Philly Cheesesteak in Philly, and it did not disappoint! The presentation with the salad was also respectable. The one thing I am questioning is the use of ketchup. I'm not sure if that was muscle memory from the cook since the sandwich comes typically with fries, or if people actually dip their Philly in ketchup? I'm not here to judge, but that seems sacrilegious.

The esthetic is nice considering the restaurant is located in the airport. It is directly across from the restrooms, which is convenient. The menu is overpriced. We spent $116.99 for everything you see. The quality was not bad, but it was not exceptional. I would try another restaurant if we returned. This has no reflection on the staff. It's a matter of price versus quality. If the menu was cost effective and the ambiance improved, I would give it a five-star review. The lights, music, and extremely loud travelers take away from the experience. Not to be harsh. We have enjoyed more relaxing environments in the airport. The proximity to the restroom and lounge area is a double-edged sword. The experience left me with a nauseated migraine.

We had been at the airport all day and wanted to grab a bite before our flight. The "restaurant" is very open air and a but confusing on what was the restaurant or what was the gate. There were a ton of people just sitting in the seats not eating. A lot of the empty spots were covered in dirty dishes. There is no signage that we saw to tell you to seat yourself but we eventually did. The AC is VERY minimal and there were extremely hot spots through the restaurant. There were only 2 of us so we sat at the bar. The bar seats are horribly uncomfortable. You cant move them in or out, so theyre limiting. Side note, dont lean back because the back of the chair is so low, it gives you false expectations of being able to lean. They have the option to use a QR code for ordering or using the bartender. Our bartender was very soft spoken and definitely looked like he didnt want to be there. We opted for basic food: a wedge salad and then grilled cheese/tomato soup combo which came with a "side salad". We discovered the paper menu and the online menu were different when the wedge salad came out. First, it was completed chopped up instead of being in a wedge. It also had a TON of red onion. The menu said it should've been pickled onions but then they said they ran out. It was also missing the dressing. The grilled cheese and side salad came out on the same plate which meant the salad was very warm and wilted. The soup follow abouy 10 minutes aftet and I discovered it was chunky tomato which wasnt expected. By that time my grilled cheese started to coagulate. Extremely overpriced for the amount and quality of food. Very...

Of course we were on our way to a flight, so we kept our coats on our seats. We never left our seats. But the blonde waitress snatched up my son's coat AND IGNORED OUR IMMEDIATE REQUEST TO GIVE US BACK OUR COAT.

Keep in mind that there were no other patrons the staff were helping. In fact, there were only 2 other people in the restaurant at the time and there were at least 8 staff.

Now we know why no one comes to this place.

SHE RAN AND PUT IT IN A CLOSET, AND quickly WALKED AWAY to the far end of the restaurant.

OTHER STAFF RIGHT THERE DID NOT REACT even though we asked them to get our coat. They ignored our pleas to help us get the jacket. AS IF THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME??? It was only when I calmly walked over to the open closet did they react, to ask me not to go where they kept "their private property." How craxy is that? They get to steal. I agreed of course, and opened my phone to call security.

GET THIS: NONE OF THE STAFF ANSWERED OUR REQUESTS TO GO INTO THEIR STILL OPEN CLOSET FOR My son's coat to return it to him. We tried to talk to other staff near that closet, but they completely ignored us. I told them I was calling security and not leaving without the coat. Grudgingly, another waitress, without a word, retrieved the coat. Obviously, this is NORMAL for them to steal.

WORST EXPERIENCE ANYWHERE. Read my other reviews. I leave very kind reviews.

THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY THIS COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE IS IF THEY PHYSICALLY ATTACKED US, there was no reason for this.

ON A FREEZING COLD NIGHT FOR SOMEONE TO STEAL YOUR SON'S COAT:

This place is...

Extremely unsanitary practices by food prep staff!! While in the airport, we were looking for restaurants close to our gate and decided to try this place. We sat at the high top counters where you can see the kitchen and staff working. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich w/ fries and sliders w/ fries… fries were extremely cold and chicken sandwich was dry, however the purpose of this review is to address the practices in the kitchen. There’s a counter that they use to cut up finished sandwiches before plating to send to customers. The one guy was wiping this counter down with a rag that was used to wipe everything else down (the grill station, and other counters where food was not being prepared). I also witnessed a guy grab handfuls of RAW chicken wings to throw into the fryer (with gloves on), and then continued to cut sandwiches ready to be sent to customers with those same gloves on! Their food was likely contaminated since he did not change his gloves! After plating the food, he proceeded to use that same rag to wipe the area down (still with the contaminated gloves!) I witnessed this when I was basically done my food and just left. Would not recommend unless you’re trying to contract E. coli with their filthy food handling practices. This place needs a food...
