Food is disgusting. Got oxtails and chicken. Seasoning doesn’t exist to this restaurant, not sure how they managed to mess up rice but even the rice was gross, chicken resembled ground beef, oxtails tasted like soggy bread with browning sauce. Not a speck of spice. I even tried to add hot sauce to it, made no difference. Food was trash. I was fascinated at the fact that the plantains were inedible. Tasted like tissue paper dipped in old oil. Beef patty was tasteless. Food was just trash. I have no clue how they’re staying open… On the bright side the lady working in the front had good customer service. Save yourself some money and go next door to Popeyes. I don’t recommend anything from there. I recommend you save your money or starve instead...
Read moreTIME FOR A REAL REVIEW! I went to this place before and I think they changed up their menu. I ordered curried chicken, and all I got was soup bones with a few pieces of meat in it. The large portion is smaller now, and they use medium plates to sell as large. The quality of the food is not as good as before. I would strongly suggest you go to the neighboring carribbean restaurants not far from there and get a better tasting meal with bigger portions. It would be fine if there was at least meat in the large order. Please do your research before going here. I went up island ave to Elmwood and got a must better plate for a...

The pepper steak was pretty good. The oxtail gravy on the rice was a bit on the dry side for gravy but the gravy from the pepper steak made up for it. I enjoyed the cabbage; just a little spice and not overwhelming. The macaroni and cheese lacked seasoning but I combined it with the cabbage, rice and gravy just so it wasn't a...
