I went with my bf for the Valentine’s Day menu, and we were more than pleased with everything! To our surprise there was only 1 more set of people besides us when we arrived. Nonetheless, the service and the food were AMAZING. We got the 3 course menu as pictured. Overall it is definitely a romantic outing that leaves you thinking just how nice everything was. Oh and the decoration! It made me feel like I was eating somewhere other than Philly. I do have a question, what is the name of the complementary bread? We were both thoroughly enjoying it!

The food was very good at Johnnie's ( the best salad I've had in a very long time) and the atmosphere was giving romantic date night. The background music is old school and fits the decor. My waiter was very nice but not that knowledgeable about wine selections but he did what he could. I enjoyed myself

Old school Italian. We love it here. Byob and good value for your money. $20 gets you bruschetta, salad or soup, bread with roasted red peppers, side of pasta, main dish and ice cream.

We walked in 5:45pm, there was only one other couple in the restaurant…🚩🚩 i read soo many great reviews, i refused to believe the restaurant wasnt going to be good. So we gave it a try anyway in spite of it being dead on a Saturday night. We were seated but not offered drinks during our visit. 🚩🚩We ordered a chicken parm with vodka sauce, fettuccine Alfredo, and the wife( afraid of trying new places) got a house salad. Food took a while so im assuming it was fresh. Our salads came out and my wifes side salad was literally the same as the side salad I received( literally lettuce, shredded carrots, and cucumber) the only exception was my cup of dressing had a hair in it. 🚩🚩 Our dinner came out and my chicken was huge and on a separate plate then my pasta but thats the only good thing i can say about it, it was edible but not what you would expect for an “Italian restaurant” . The fettuccine Alfredo was also a decent size but they gave us penne pasta instead of fettuccini and the sauce was very salty and not very tasty… our waitress was nice but never asked how the food was and the wait for our (waters) to be filled or the check or boxes was crazyy long especially because there was no one else in the restaurant.. save your money, save your time, dont go here…

Edited after response from owner

Since i only received a thumbs up from the owner about my one star review, no apologies, no thank you for your feedback, no we will take what you said into consideration…. No wonder your business is empty and possibly failing.. you have to be able to take criticism, it makes you stronger. Dont like my review? Fix it! Do better! Watch kitchen nightmares, maybe you should be in it, maybe you will learn something.....

First time ever we decided to have our Christmas dinner catered and at the same time support our local small business, we chose Johnnie's Italian Restraunt on comly st, and the whole experience was fantastic from how nice the girls were when we picked it up to how much food they gave us for what they called a party of 3 to how VERY VERY GOOD the food was, flounder stuffed with crab meat was out of this world good, hopefully soon we will be able to visit and acualy sit in and eat and enjoy the atmosphere we need to support our community We need to support our small businesses and keep each other safe. When my family visited, it was literally empty. Only 2 younger guys smoking out back with the door open. I think this might've been why there were a handful of flies inside the restaurant that day. I had to literally shield my food to keep the flies from landing on it. Please think about possibly investing in an electrical fly zapper to avoid this in the future.

As for the food itself, the 5 course meal was alright. I would rate the food somewhere around 7/10.

They have about 4 to 5 Sinatra tracks on a never ending loopback.. To be honest, it started to get annoying after a while.

Mama might love mambo, but not after 15...
