Kin Wha Garden — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My husband and his family have gotten food from Sandy (owner) since he was a little boy and now he is in his 40s with a family of his own. Even though we don't live close by for delivery anymore, we still order from them and I will go and pick up the food. Their food is delicious, the price are reasonable and the service is great. Sandy and her team are awesome. When I go to pick up my food and get to watch her in action, it amazes me how she remembers her customers' names, thus the loyalty she gets from repeated customers. She is so nice too. Not only do we order food for our meals, I also like to order her food for parties that I host. Price are reasonable and my guests always compliments the food. Less cooking I need to worry about. Some of our favorites when we order are: general tso chicken, fried wonton (my husband only like hers), sum gum lomein, pork fried rice, chicken wings, boneless spare ribs (one of the best...i tried other places... not the same), spare ribs, stir fry pork bean sprout (i don't see this on other Chinese food menu), sweet and sour chicken. I would like to say that the food is very good and almost always so is the service. As long as it is the owner i believe up front handling the customers. There is one woman who i saw for the first time there, extremely rude. She was very rude with customers on the phone and told them to hurry up and make their order because she is busy by yelling at them.she was just yelling at them instead of talking to them like humans. There was about 3 calls in a row and rude with all of them. I couldnt believe what i was hearing. Then to top it off, i took the food to my car and drove home only to find that she did not close the lids to the all the soup and meal because she was in a rush and alllllll the sauce got all over ny car. I went and called the restaurant. I said i thought it was rude how she spoke with customers over the phone and she answered, because customer called 3 times already. I've been going to Kin Wha for many years but recently the quality of their food has changed for the worst. I'm surprised no one, including many old timers, are not mentioning this. I won't complain about prices going up as it's still relatively okay but the food has become very greasy and low quality. The general Tso is perhaps 80% breading or maltodextrin or whatever they use with a tiny bit of chicken, the egg rolls are extraordinarily greasy and most of the foods are cooked in the same slop brown sauce that feels canned. It was all much better before. On the plus side the owner is extremely nice and friendly and respects the customers. I do hope things improve but for the sake of my health i will not be going...
