City Cigars — Local services in Philadelphia

I would definitely recommend this place for cigars and as a cigar lounge 10/10. Upon walking into the store the owner borris was at the front and promptly greeted me with a smile, let me know that he was the owner, told me where the humidor was located down the hall, and assured if i had questions he would answer them for me. I thanked him and made my way to the beautiful humidor with a massive selection and browsed through. As i am i new cigar smoker i noticed he was outside the door so I asked him for a bit of help with some infused cigars (drew estate 10/10) , he let me know which ones were infused with what flavors and showed me a few new ones i had never seen before. He also let me know that you buy 5 and get 1 free, which is awesome as a lot of places dont even have coupons let alone small deals like that. I picked out 1 java latte, 2 Hawaiian latte, 1 Hawaiian vanilla, 1 Hawaiian Cognac, and 1 isla del sol sun blessed. At the register i asked if they sell boveda packs(passive hydration packets) for cigars, he told me which % was the proper one to have for winter and he gave me a super deal on everything. He then asked me if id like a tour of his lounge to which i accepted and we walked around the lounge while he showed me where everything was at and welcomed me to stay and or come back whenever id like to. He gives out the old cigar boxes for free and helped me pick out good ones that seal properly. I left with 3 gorgeous boxes to keep my cigars in, 6 new cigars to try out, a boveda pack to keep them hydrated, and a extremely good experience that will keep me coming back to city cigars. It was such a welcoming and wonderful experience, its not every lounge where you can feel at home which isn't right. Cigars are for everyone to enjoy and at this place you get that exact feeling the entire time. I will return for more cigars and to spend some time in the lounge. My favorite cigar shop, although a little far away for me to be there regularly. I pop in about every other month. Boris the owner is a genuinely great dude and if he’s there when you stop in I highly recommend so say hello and get to know him. I would rate the selection on the ‘experimental’ side. Plenty of Rocky’s and Padrons, but if your looking for the latest Opus, look elsewhere. He tends to get things you can’t find elsewhere which I really like. His shop was the very first to get the Bull when it came out and all other shops where scrambling after the fact. Same when the Leaf came out. The humidor isn't huge so you may not find your specific go-to stick but there is plenty enough to satisfy almost any palate. The real gem is the environment. I’ve never met a bad person in the place. Everyone is very welcoming. I’ve watched Sixers games, played poker, read a magazine, worked on my laptop on a Thursday afternoon, and sat quietly while we watched a movie. You get the vibe. I always try to stop in at least once whenever I'm in Philly, whether I need a comfortable place to get some work done or to just chill out for awhile. Boris' hospitality is second to none! Sure appreciate it.
