Kirin house replaced the previous restaurant, my partner and I were really excited to give it a try since we’re close by. Our sushi and rolls were good, quality was comparable to other popular sushi spots in Chinatown. Our server was extremely nice, and gave us suggestions to the menu. The tuna sashimi appetizer with some sort of vinegar sauce was refreshing and light. The lunch special seems like a great deal, and we plan to stop by to give that a try also! Some things we didn’t like too much: The restaurant is really quiet, we wished they played music since it felt a bit awkward. My partner ordered a beer that was on their menu only to find out it was no longer in stock. I ordered a lychee martini, of which the lychee fruit that came with it was sour and clearly gone bad. I think the restaurant is a higher quality spot. They are actually probably the most generous I’ve seen with the fillings of sushi I have seen, it was such a nice piece of crab stick in actual roll. In addition I actually ended up getting an extra order of my California Rolls? I don’t know if that was a mistake or a generous freebie but it was appreciated. Definitely...
