Tl;dr: really nice staff, great atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. Check it out if you enjoy gaming.
Went to the grand opening today as part of a school function, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I do game regularly, but rarely competitively, and I think being a big eSports fan would've helped my enjoyment, but it was a really awesome environment. The commentators were energetic and I would love to come back for a tournament I was more invested in. The staff was also really nice, actively helping clear things up. In fact, one of them remembered me and unprompted came up to me and told me when a PC opened, cause I had trouble accessing one earlier (it was Very busy). The PCs are also super nice, and the system that they use for interfacing and tracking your time is super readable and easy to use. As well, the prices to use the machines is extremely reasonable. It makes me wish I lived around Philly so I could visit regularly with friends! Only things to note are that you need to own any non-free-to-play games you want to play there (unless you are just playing with others at the place) and the food is priced above average (it is very good and the low price of machine time makes up for it!)    Read moreI came to Localhost for the first time almost a year ago. It was my first time coming to a monthly tournament and I knew almost no one in the community, and those that I've met, I barely knew. But the staff namely a Kyle McFarland, made me feel comfortable and at home. And from there on I've made many more friends in the fgc, and Localhost was more or less the start. It's a great place, with nice atmosphere and not far from some nice eat spots(the Taco truck is a favorite of the community), and I've yet to go to localhost and not have a great time. Whether it's for a tournament, Fight party, old school night, or just hanging out on...
